We needed an out of state appraiser for a house that was being financed through First Federal Savings Bank, and it's always a bit of a hassle to find someone who is quick, trustworthy and good. My experience has been either appraisers spend time analyzing the home and market for a complete and accurate appraisal while others don’t even bother to put any time or effort, resulting in a poor appraisal job. I’d give this business a negative star if I could and suggest the appraiser find a new line of work. Clearly he doesn’t understand the market or even put any effort into finding similar homes to use as comparable. My loan officer knows the area was dumbfounded on how lazy this person was based on their garbage report.
