I've had a Great Experience with Baldwin & Jones CPA's! They are always available and quick to answer to our questions by phone or email. We started our relationship about 15 years ago, and I have not regretted it since. I have multiple small businesses on the White Mountain. They made my life much better because it frees up my time to do what I do best...SELL. Baldwin & Jones is a prized asset, and I would strongly recommend them to anyone who needs help doing the books.

My husband chose this Show Low CPA, specifically Mr Jones. although we live East of Snowflake. We have very poor cell service at our home and prefer mail and text messages for simple communication. In addition to communication issues and being unable to accommodate our communication needs, the office has organization work flow issues that cause a lot of stress for the office staff and for clients. Lastly, don’t go to Mr Jones if you have a solar system, his interpretation of the solar tax law and tax credit is incorrect and you will have to go to someone else.

1) Mr Jones doesn’t respond to emails if it doesn’t involve direct information he needs. My last two emails with simple questions were ignored. Months and no response.

If they call you and leave a message and you call them back they don’t have a system to know who called you or why, they have to hunt through the office asking each other. Poor work flow and organizational issues

Solar system law in Arizona says if your system is 5 percent operational then you qualify for your tax credit. According to other Arizona tax CPAs and Solar Installers and the Webster dictionary operational means “ready to use”.
Obviously a solar system can not operate until it is 100 percent installed. The word operational, meaning ready to use, means installed. (Because you can use 5 percent of a solar system). For us, Not only was 5 percent of our system installed. But the entire 100 percent. Mr Jones said to my husband and I in his office it had to be inspected to qualify. He refused to redo our taxes and denied us our right to our 26 percent tax credit equaling over nine thousand dollars. He misinterpreted the word operational to mean operating.

I tried for 2 months even going in person to discuss this with him, but due to not responding to emails or phone calls I was unable to have the conversation.

My last attempt was in person, I went in to check on our 2021 taxes which they had in their office for over 2 months and asked for them to call me so I could discuss the tax credit. I gave Esther my phone number. She called my husband instead and he said, please call my wife and speak to her, I am working. She didn’t call. But the next week she called my husband again and he gave her the same answer.

She finally called me (my phone doesn’t ring in our rural area) and When I called to see why she calls, I was greeted with a condescending voice on the phone and told Mr Jones would call me when he isn’t busy ….. I asked for a text message instead so I can call in because my phone won’t ring in my rural area.

No. The can accommodate that. 😂😂

So I am going today per my husband and Solar installers recommendations and another CPA to get all my paperwork and pay again for it to be done correctly.
