We contracted Valley CPA Services to prepare an amended return for us. Initially they referred us to a website to transcribe all of our information from our tax documents into web forms. This was of no value as this can be done for much cheaper on a number of other online self-service tax services and we were contracting a CPA to provide more guidance and hands-on assistance for this process. After some further discussion they agreed to prepare the return for us using our tax documents and we filed our return.

Several months later the IRS has not cashed our check or accepted our return. We were receiving conflicting information from the IRS website about whether we should re-file or continue to wait, so we asked Valley CPA Services for assistance and guidance. We were told to wait 3 weeks, then told to wait 3 more weeks. Today they recommend calling the IRS (which has proven to be impossible due to COVID) or they can assist us but will need to charge us additional money.

Disappointed in the lack of follow up assistance which is the reason we sought assistance from a CPA in the first place.
