After banking here for years and putting up with check deposit holds and not being able to obtain products I could get everywhere else, not to mention getting told different things from different people, I decided to leave this awful credit union. They do not stand behind their mission statement and there are too many choices to have to put up with bad customer care. Major fail Truservice.

I have been with TruService for almost a decade now. I’m sure you all have noticed all the new banks strolling into town just be mindful and aware of the good advantages a smaller credit union can do for you.

I went through some horrific times financially (not shamed) and they have always been there to help me turn it around.

As you get older and life happens you may discover that you are the only back up plan-why not bank with a bank that secures you as the back up!

Thank you TruService for giving me a sense of ease and comfort as a single middle aged woman on her own.

Also if you aren’t following me on IG head on over now @ejdubb ♥️

It is absurd that when depositing a check it can take up to 30 days for it to clear. Upon depositing I was not aware of this information. I've called several times and each time received different information about when it could post.

The first woman was very nonchalant and told me about the 30 days. When I mentioned to her that I was told 5-7 business days and to call to check by the teller, she made it like I lied about the information I was giving which made me call back to try to speak with someone else.

The second person which was a man told me we were just waiting for it to clear. Which could be Monday, July 17th, considering I made the deposit on July 10th.

The 3rd person, which was another woman told me it should be clear by Friday the 21st, which is today, and still no deposit. Smh.

I'm not sure if the staff is aware of their check deposit policy. The lack of knowledge inconvenienced me and I do not like that I've been getting the run around about when my check would clear. I would much rather stick to a regular bank for deposits.

Also, You aren't even able to get a partial amount. Had I known any of this information I most definitely would've made my deposit with my regular bank.

I just hate that I wasn't informed from the beginning.

Great Bank and the employees are amazing in helping you to get things done to the best of their knowledge. And professionalism is
a must and yet they make you feel like family.

I’ve been a member of this credit union for over a year. I started out with a limited checking account and savings. After a year my account was transitioned to a regular checking account. I saw there’s a lot of fees with the regular checking account and requested the account be moved back to limited checking. Although my account was “moved back” to limited checking I don’t believe it was because I accrue fees that are associated with a regular checking account. I am a minority that works three jobs and have not had anything positive come out of being a member of TruService. Anytime I call into the branch I get suggestions from Mrs. Tammy, the Branch manager to close my account. She has even taken it upon herself to close my account, my bank card didn’t work and I have children. Today, I was informed by Mrs. Jeffries a higher manager to close my account. I do not feel welcomed! I believe I am not bringing in enough money to be considered “family” to this credit union. Hopefully this doesn’t get my account closed because I do have weekly deposits. So hopefully they’ll give me time to find another bank. There just hasn’t been any benefits of being a TruService Credit Union member.

We've banked here for 6 or 7 years now. About 6 months ago, we had our first real frustrating issues; revolving around some technology upgrades the bank was making. Aside from that brief point in time, we've been incredibly pleased, and they have continued to improve their overall service levels which were already outstanding. Enough so that I've taken the time to update my review here to a higher rating!

I would give 5 stars but we have had some problems when we go out of town. We travel and aren't able to use our card in certain states that have had fraud. If we don't let them know ahead of time that we are going out of town then our card will be rejected. A couple months ago we let them know a week ahead of time that we were going out of town and our card still ended up getting rejected. Luckily I had another card with a little money from our previous credit union. They called the next day and apologized but it shouldn't have happened in the first place. More recent, they have started sending emails if they think a charge is fraud and give you the option of saying it's fraud in the email or calling and telling them it's not. We tried calling multiple times and were never able to talk to someone. I wouldn't recommend this credit union to anyone who goes out of the state frequently.

I will say that the people working are really nice and do try to help. I know it's probably not their fault but I wish that we could use our card whenever we need to. We pay extra each month for fraud protection but I didn't think that it would just make it to where you can't really use the card out of the state.

Edit: The one time that we actually had fraud on our card they approved it. Somebody spent $419 of our money and they flagged it as fraud and also approved it. We didn't even have that much in the account so they charged us a fee and took the money out of our savings account. Now we are having to file a police report because of something they did. We pay extra a month to prevent things like this and so far it has only blocked payments that we actually made. Also, apparently the people who spent that money also tried to make 2 other purchases before that but were denied and we didn't even get a notification about those. Now we are finding out that it happened to multiple people here. We don't feel safe here and will be changing credit unions as soon as possible.
