We have have had a terrible time since were were transferred to this office. Our last office, we were with for over 30 years and never had any issues. This office takes the cake in bad service. We have had many issues with this office adding our adult children to our account several different times. They stated that "they may drive our cars"....! Watch your statements they just might add extras to you bill!! They will also mix up phone numbers... our daughter was called to go over our policy! NOT SURE THEY CAN BE TRUSTED....!

We've been customers since **** with both auto and homeowners insurance. When we got our homeowners policy we were concerned that since our home was over *** years old that we would be covered just in case something happened and we specifically asked for a good policy for that reason. We've tried to file 2 claims so far. The first was because we had a tree that was deseased and was in danger of falling on our home. Not covered and had it fallen onto our home that wouldn't have been covered either due to the tree being diseased. The other claim was this week. The back wall of our home has separated from the home. It's part of the actual foundation. I don't know what caused it. Water erosion, a recent earthquake...I dunno. Doesn't matter, still not covered. Really? I can kinda understand the tree but our foundation I'm very disappointed. After all, we specifically asked for a policy that would cover us. My fault for trusting and not reading that 'book' that is my policy.

Ruben went above and beyond to help us transfer our policies and took the time to answer all of our questions. We also talked with Kim and Tim and by the time we walked out of the office, we knew we were definitely taken care of. Moving from out of state can be tough but this is one area we no longer need to worry about thanks to Tim Hoffman Allstate Insurance!

To summarize: Allstate cancelled our policy with no communication and we traveled across the country with no insurance for almost three months and had no idea because they failed to notify us via email, text, nor a phone call which could have avoided the entire situation.

Long story: To start, let me just say that Tim was awesome when we set up our policy with him in June 2019. He helped us get the best coverage for our converted van and put our concerns at ease about traveling across the country in it.

What is not awesome is that they cancelled our paid in full policy two months later - they could not verify our NC address, which makes sense since we explained how we were traveling for the foreseeable future and had sold our house before we left - but here's the inexcusable part. There was absolutely no effort made on their part to contact us to ask us about our residency or to inform us that our policy had been terminated.

We only found out when we went to add a vehicle to the policy and to our surprise, saw CANCELLED in large, red letters.

A simple phone call, or text, or email, could have resolved this. Our temporary residency was still in NC but they failed to even invest a small amount of time to contact us.

I hate to imagine what would have happened to us if we had been involved in any kind of accident after they cancelled our policy. It could have ruined both our lives just from the amount of debt that would have resulted.

The lack of communication is what makes this entire situation so upsetting. There are multiple ways to contact people these days and yet they failed to even use one of them. Tim knew what we were doing, even came and looked at the van, and still failed to show any interest in making sure his customers were taken care of.

While he helped us out a lot on getting our policy started, the lack of communication says a lot more about how he treats his clients.
