In the recent housing market, trying to buy a home in the LA area as a single female was frustrating to say the least. Inventory changed as quickly as homes came on the market, bids went for sometimes $300,000 to $600,000 over asking price. Many agents were unresponsive to my inquiries, cryptic with seller information or even downright rude or dismissive in their dealings with me and I was beginning to give up on the process.

My father suggested that I visit Team Rock in Kenneth Village, a quaint little neighborhood agency in Glendale, as the realtor I should give a try. It took the better part of 8 months, which is on the short side compared to many other horror stories I had heard, but I started to learn the market and gained traction. Lar learned my specific style preferences and ventured into residential areas unfamiliar to her. With her tenacity and perseverance, Lar and the team at Team Rock Properties helped me to get my dream home.

Not only is Lar Chouljian a great realtor, but I feel I gained a long-term friend in the process. Lar is not a nine to five realtor; she was always available to answer my questions or to contact the seller’s agent to get more information or to meet me at an open house. She helped me navigate the loan process, filing paperwork, recommended reliable contractors and gave great advice to a first-time home buyer. I am forever grateful to Team Rock and my friend Lar.
