Ive been with tfcu for over 22 years and recently went to this branch to get a new credit card/fraud issues, the wait time was a little long, but Miss. Godfrey made it all the worth while. The amount of attentiveness I was shown was phenomenal and I couldn't be happier. The process was speedy and easy, even after working a 11 hour shift, she still managed to make me smile and laugh throughout the appointment. Someone better give her a raise/bigger desk soon 😤

Last year, my husband and I decided to go on the journey of purchasing our first home. I decided we should go with Teachers Federal Credit Union for our mortgage, and it was a great decision! We met with Kayla Gabriellini to discuss everything from what they have to offer to what we can actually afford. Kayla made our experience easy, even when it felt it wasn't. She made sure that we understood everything happening, and she gave us peace of mind when things seemed rough. My husband and I have been in our home for almost 1 year, and I can honestly say I recommend TFCU and Kayla to all of my friends and family who are in need of a mortgage lender. Please note that I've only been to this physical branch one time to see our Loan Officer Kayla. When we went there (late 2020) the place seemed clean. There was a plexiglass barrier between my us and Kayla; hand sanitizer was available and everyone was wearing masks.

However, the real positivity comes from how responsive, efficient, and professional Kayla was. Whenever I sent an e-mail there was a response very rapidly. If I had any questions she was there to assist me (and there were plenty!) Sending them documentation was a breeze, especially since we had a bit of a snag on the seller's end and had to send updated documentation.

We'd highly recommend TFCU, especially Kayla, for your mortgage needs. And we got a fantastic rate as well!

This is thee' greatest Credit Union in the country!

I was recently hacked, all my info, from home address, banking accounts to medication prescriptions, and social media(which was not of vital info just fun stuff; some social media accounts were not mine were attributed to me) all of it, thrown out onto the world wide web, aside from the gross invasion of privacy, I was put into a position of danger, to fear for my life. It was awful, however, I did not know!

I walk into the Setauket branch (off topic, it be nice if there were some fresh bagels, butter & cream cheese, coffee & tea. Credit Unions in Brooklyn offer those niceties to members. I digress) As I reach my teller, An upstanding young Latino gentleman next to the teller I was at, was in the middle of speaking to a fellow member, a young man dressed like an 80s wannabe yuppie discussing a loan for a jeep; this stands out because it's the same jeep I own. (Sidenote: Don't put yourself into loan debt for a jeep. A Jaguar or Challenger Hellcat yeah, but not a jeep. You can't reach yuppie social-economic status making those stupid financial decisions. I digress) He yells out to me, he and a morbidly obese woman, told me I was hacked, they had seen all my information, both banal and of importantance online. I was in utter shock.

I do not know if TFCU has a legal or ethical obligation to have told me, but thank you, thank you, thank you. After I lay a massive lawsuit on the perpetrators (I rather see their faces on their relatives' shirts, or in memorial on the back of their pickups) I'm going to invest in TFCU!

-P.S. I used to get my banking statement every 6 months, now it's every months, I'm not multi millionaire dealing numerous transactions a day, once a month will suffice, thx

Had to laugh when I saw the response to a previous reviewer's concern that no one would let her child used the bathroom. I have had the same exact experience. The customer bathroom has had an out of order sign on it for years. What could possibly be the explanation for that? I'd love to hear the owners response to that. The Holbrook branch has a bathroom available for use to it's members at all times. Not having a restroom would be more understandable then having one built for public use with a consistent out of order sign. It sends the wrong message to people who have all their money in your bank which you profit off of yet fail to invest the money to repair a bathroom.

*Update* - Was there yesterday and now the sign says employees only.
Doubt it was ever out of order to begin with. Great way to treat members!

Push doors and hand sanitizer not available until you are called. I asked and employee to please put some out on table where we fill out out papers. Was not done. No drive up and the left outdoor cash machine always on the brink.

Stole my money! For now the Secound time ruined my thanks giving I went to put 960
In bank I flashed in camera this time Bc before this they had took 250 from me now settled at 200 so as I put 960 in it spits back the 60 a lady was bugging out for me it took my money and said retained now all thanks giving with my family my minds on this in bad mood

Don't bank here with young kids. Especially at the South setauket branch. I was forced to run outside when my three year old had a potty emergency and no one would let him use the bathroom. I am off to chase
