Was forced to live in one of their properties because they bought a building I already lived in. Disruptive from the beginning. In and out to “evaluate” repairs, taking several visits to get repairs done. Then eventually not making any repairs and only doing so when cited by LAHD for violations. Now they’re removing garages for “planned construction” they don’t have permits approved for. Residents are losing parking, storage, and laundry due to these “plans”. Taylor Equities is as shady as they come. Management says they’re “just the messenger” yet when calling the number for the landlord to direct questions to…it leads you to the management company. Doesn’t surprise me Taylor Equities has a trail of negative reviews (including under the previous company name). Potential tenants beware. They are advertising vacant units with these amenities that are being removed.

Moving into one of Taylor Equities' buildings last fall felt like the start of a new chapter. The place seemed perfect—convenient parking and laundry facilities made life easier, and the community had a comforting vibe. However, that sense of contentment swiftly turned to disbelief when I received the news that both access to my parking spot and laundry facilities were being revoked without any substantial explanation.

Confusion turned into anger when I discovered the true motive behind this abrupt change. It wasn't just about reallocating resources; it was about a grand plan to demolish our parking garages, which also housed our laundry facilities, to make way for new apartments. What's worse, this critical information was deliberately withheld from me and other tenants. It's a breach of trust that goes beyond mere inconvenience—it's a blatant disregard for our rights as tenants and our need for transparency.

Learning that permit applications were submitted well before I even set foot in the building added another layer of betrayal. How could they fail to disclose such significant construction plans? It's not just about losing parking and laundry; it's about the disruption and chaos this will bring to our lives. As someone who often returns home late, the dwindling parking options in the already congested neighborhood are a legitimate concern.

The decision to cram 50+ cars onto an already bustling street seems short-sighted and careless. It's not just about inconvenience; it's about the safety and well-being of everyone in the community. This unilateral action threatens to transform our once-quiet neighborhood into a chaotic mess of traffic congestion and parking nightmares.

This experience has left me deeply disillusioned and distrustful of Taylor Equities. I wouldn't wish this ordeal on anyone, and I certainly wouldn't recommend anyone I care about to move into another one of their buildings. It's a stark reminder of the power dynamics at play in the landlord-tenant relationship and the importance of advocating for transparency and accountability in housing management.

Lived in one of their buildings for just under 2 years. They’re super sketch. Had maintenance requests that went unanswered for the entire time I lived there, the buildings are super outdated (I got stuck in our elevator multiple times), and their employees are not helpful at all. You’ll get stuck with the most random charges at move out with no explanation, I got charged for the smoke alarm that I never even touched? Anyway, avoid them if you can. They were called something else before and got voted worst landlord in LA so they changed their name to hide it - I ignored advice from friends and still lived there so that was my bad. Take my advice and go find a building run by professionals.

As an interior designer who had work with Taylor Equities on a number of building renovations in the past, I can say that the company held, and continues to hold, the highest commitment to beautifying the apartment buildings we worked on and creating a fresh residential landscape for the tenants. Great attention to detail, and expense, was always honored in order to breathe new and charming new life into older buildings. The owner, Steven Taylor, was a pleasure to work with, constantly professional, and encouraged the team to always make the properties shine for the tenants.

Wow! Taylor Equities have a few pretty decent and affordable properties. I actually been searching around for a place and had the pleasure to work with Russ one of the associates to show me a few of there properties. I’m pretty impressed with all the kitchen new remodeling they have done. I’m really leaning towards moving in with Taylor Equities properties.

Steven Taylor, Taylor Equities, and his agents are predatory con artists. Do your research, see his former LLC, Ness Properties Los Angeles, for more info on this company's terrible reputation.
