I have worked with Suzanne O’Brian twice: first when I first bought my house in 2008, and now when I just sold it in 2024. She is personable and wonderful to work with, but more importantly she brings a wealth of experience whether she is helping you buy or sell. In selling the house she convinced me it was worth my moving out, having the kitchen and dining room redone, the house painted inside and out, and extensive landscaping performed. I was most reluctant because it was so hard to have to move out for six weeks and then move back in. I honestly didn’t think some of the changes were necessary, but clearly she knew what buyers are generally looking for. She was confident that I would make up all the money I was spending. During the renovation Suzanne was almost like a contractor, overseeing every little detail, visiting the house every day, even buying light fixtures herself or returning ones she didn’t think were right! Her wealth of reliable contacts ranging from landscapers, remodeling contractors, tree experts, junk removers, shippers, and movers was astonishing! These were all people she could rely on and had built relationships with over her many years in this region. That alone is priceless.

Once we were done and the house was staged (again something I questioned) the house looked so inviting I was tempted not to sell! Truly an amazing transformation! When Suzanne finally listed the property I thought the price was much too low. We had many discussions about this and I reluctantly agreed. Clearly she knew what she was doing because the house sold in three days and for much more than I had hoped for!

In short I can’t imagine a better experience in selling a house. So also when i bought the house seventeen years ago in a very tight market, she somehow managed to find just the right house— a new build that was on the verge of completion. I have bought and sold houses in Iowa, El Paso, San Antonio, Hawaii, and now California and never had a better experience than I did with Suzanne, both in terms of ease of every interaction and in her obvious expertise from being in the field and in one geographic area for so many years. As a physician the analogy for me is that she is like a seasoned clinician who listens well, acts thoughtfully, and makes decisions with an acute sense of the current state of the art and always in your best interest. I cannot recommend Suzanne highly enough and I am so glad I listened to her advice at every stage.
