Firstly, I admit straight off that this is unfair, because I’m not even a customer. But, I walk by this office almost daily and it always feels creepy to me. If they have been around since 1938, I’m betting the building hasn’t been refreshed in a long, long, long time. The old sheer curtains covering the windows look like they are from a dilapidated abandoned house. Nothing about the outside says “welcome “. No flowers, beat up parking area, dirty windows. I’m sorry but I wouldn’t be comfortable just walking in the place.

Before a couple of very good employees retired they were very helpful. Unfortunately the last time I had to call the woman I was transferred to kept interrupting me (I'm not good with explaining things, so I'm kind of slow) and biting my head off. Hopefully this won't happen again because they have been very helpful (always smiling too) in the past. We'll see. Could have just been having a bad day. Everyone does occasionally. I only call once a year usually so hoping a bad day is all it was.

Please read this review to possibly save hundreds of dollars. I have been with Sutherland and Jeanne for three years, my provider is Travelers. At the one year anniversary I called Sutherland to see if I could save money on my home policy. After weeks of no help from anyone in the office Jeannie called and said there were no options to lower my premium. At the second anniversary the exact same scenario played out. Called the office and got no help after weeks, Jeannie was out the office. She did call later and again said there were no options to lower my premium. Then this year/third anniversary rolled around and my premium went from $2243 to $2863, a $620 or 22% increase. Of course I was not happy, who would be? Called the office and Linda didn't like my "attitude" and hung up on me without any help. Had enough of their lack of professionalism and customer service. Contacted another Travelers agency/agent and was told of two options that are available to save money on my premium. First, you ask for a reqoute with the "New Product", I have to wait for my auto renewal to find out how much this will save me. But, the second option, checking to see who in the household has the highest credit score, which turned out to be my wife, saved us $420 off the increase above. Never once did Jeannie mention either option. I would find it hard to believe she was unaware of these two options, but my new agent suggested contacting Travelers, which I did and will save hundreds of dollars. I haven't even gotten to the auto policy yet, but will save at least $420 on the home policy. I received more help from my new agent in three days than I did from Jeannie/Sutherland in three years. For all of you people with five star reviews, ask your agent about the two options mentioned. If they have been hiding these from you I suggest you find another agent/agency. It seems Sutherland only cares about money and not their customers. They lack professionalism, integrity, morals, ethics or any customer service. It would seem that greed has consumed the agency and I highly recommend you do some research and find another agency/agent. THIS IS IN RESPONSE TO YOUR COMMENT. First, you have doxxed me by posting my full name, which was never posted in my review and insinuated that I used bad language, which is false, recordings will prove so, which means you slandered me. You are skating on thin legal ice. Your agents knowing options to save money and actually offering them to their customers are two different things, I'm sure I'm the only customer that wasn't given all the available options. Excuses and deflection only reinforce your guilt. I WANT MY NAME REMOVED FROM YOUR RESPONSE. Your response and lack of from my ex-agent only reinerate your lack of professionalism, the ship is only as good as the captain. My comment is 100% factual while your response is 100% excuses. Thank you for proving my point, if people read my comment you will probably hear a lot of bad language and ugly attitudes, maybe you already have, could that be why Lynda was so sensitive and had her "attitude". UPDATE: 30 AUG 2022, got my new premium with the "new program requote" mentioned above from my new "honest" agent. The new premium is $1255 instead of $2863, would you call that incompetence or corrupt greed, either way, you should not do business with these crooks.
