I was a member of Sun West Credit Union years ago and always remembered the service being excellent—that’s why I called today to ask about opening a new account. Big mistake. I was left on hold for over 20 minutes with no answer, no update, nothing. My time was completely wasted. It’s incredibly frustrating and honestly makes me question whether returning as a member is even worth it. If this is how they treat someone trying to give them business, I can only imagine how current members are treated.

My son and I went in to open a checking account and Miss Stephanie helped us and was so helpful, kind and professional!! She took her time and made sure my son got his account setup properly before we left which I can completely appreciate! Thank you so much Stephanie!!

I have had sunwest as my bank since 2009 and am not moving anytime soon because I love it. They had nice employees that I was always looking forward to go to incase I had to go in person but not anymore. I had my card compromised I never got help just got my card blocked and got a new one and that was it, given attitude and since my parents brought me well I held my peace unsatisfied I walked out. I get paid by check which has not been an issue but lately with the new employees they just give you a look then I have to confirm this and that despite me going to deposit in the same account for the past one year. I miss the old crew which was there 😪, I get goose bumps when I have to go there because I don't know what to expect but the assistant manager is awesome and thats why am rating with 4 . She took care of my compromised issue she listened to me and gave me the best customer service thank you 😊. when changing the employees don't change all at the same time because you never know you end up taking away the best crew without knowing. .

DO NOT USE THIS CREDIT UNION. We have used Sunwest for over 8 years. Our account was compromised for the first time ever. When we called to let them know fraud had happened on our account, we were told and I QUOTE, "We do not deal with fraud anymore."
Would not refund any of the NSF fees associated with the fraud OR the fraud charges. Even with a police report!!
Don't put your hard earned money into a bank that says not our fault when your money gets illegally used. All I could do was laugh. The banker told my husband and I quote again "it wasn't our fault"
WHAT!?
All our other banks reversed the charges even without a police report.
It's very sad that we had our entire life savings ripped from us (stolen identity, all our money gone, credit cards, everything they took everything) and sunwest made the entire process so complicated and frustrating just to get our money back that was illegally used. Which they never did.

Update: they reversed a few NSF fees after going round and round with them. But never the actual FRAUD charges.

They dO not allow their customers to use "their" bathroom. Security reasons...SERIOUSLY?¿

Sunwest is a great credit union! I've been with them for 10+ year's, they are always helpful when financing a vehicle or doing a personal loan. Always the most professional and polite when I go into any branch for service or speak with someone over the phone. I can't imagine being with any other financial institution. Sunwest is the best!
