We first met Sunny and David when we were looking for our first home back in 2019. They were the sellers' agents for a home that we went to look at. We were immediately impressed with their congeniality and professionalism, so much that we told ourselves we would hire them for the sale of our next house. We ended up buying a different property at the time but fast forward to 2022, we decided to sell our house to accommodate our growing family and remembering Sunny and David from 2019, we approached them to help us sell our townhouse in Mountain View.

From Day 1, we were really impressed with their expert knowledge in Bay Area real estate, friendliness, and efficiency. They did not waste time and immediately began to strategize and come up with an ideal timeline to prep and sell our house based on how the market was looking at the time. Sunny and David are ALWAYS available by phone/text/email and they're in constant communication with you throughout the whole sales process. They guided us through this process tremendously well and all our meetings were extremely efficient. Sunny and David's forte is definitely in online marketing and negotiations. This was absolutely top notch and we were blown away by how our house looked after minor remodeling and staging, and how it was portrayed online and on housing apps. It was absolutely stunning. With their expert marketing and negotiation skills, we ended up receiving 16 offers and were able to sell our home at a price that was unthinkable, way above listing price, given how the market looked at the time. Sunny is extremely proactive and has a go-getter personality and she will fight for you to get the highest bidding price. This team really beat all expectations and we were so extremely happy with the outcome. They also stayed on top of being in touch with the seller's agent and us to ensure that the closing of the sale and escrow would go smoothly, and indeed it did without any problems.

Sunny and David, the incredible dynamic duo, gave us utmost confidence that we were always in good hands and we couldn't be more thankful that we found them by chance back in 2019. They also have such pleasant personalities that they're the kinds of people you would want to hang out and be friends with. When I was first introduced to Sunny in early 2021, I knew nothing about the home buying process. I never purchased a property before, and overall, I was very oblivious to a rather daunting process (as most people are before they buy their first property). Despite all the Covid concerns, Sunny held a remote buyer's orientation, which was very professional and informative, and I quickly grasped that I could trust her to lead this stressful process. Before I knew it, Sunny found several great candidates that fit my needs, but also stayed within my budget. We went straight to home touring and it was such an enjoyable process to look through several properties, imagining it potentially being my home soon. We were looking to buy a house in the Bay Area and met with Sunny and David through a referral from one of our close friends. Within a few hours of an email introduction, we were already having a Zoom meeting with Sunny, yes, she's super responsive and she means business, which is exactly what you need in the extremely competitive Bay Area market.

Having interviewed a few other realtors, we already knew we would be working with Sunny after having seen a few open houses with her. The most important reason was that she was honest and direct. She will tell you if the house has any flaws, what it would cost you to fix it, or how difficult it would be to sell it in the future. This was very important to us as there are realtors out there who would like to convince you to make an offer even though they know it's not the house you're looking for. Sunny and David on the other hand recommend that you do not make an offer because they understand that in the long term it won't be the right house for you.

After a few open houses, we finally found one we were very excited about and decided to make an offer. It was our first offer and it got accepted. Despite other competitive offers, the sellers chose us because of how well the offer was put together, and the fact that the seller's agent knew that Sunny and David always close on time.

My spouse and I bought our first home in Mountain View through Sunny Kim. Early December 2020 we were looking for a realtor who specializes in the Mountain View and Sunnyvale areas. Sunny was very quick to respond over email within minutes and set up a virtual meeting the same evening. We had instant chemistry and she beat out 4 other well rated realtors on Yelp. Beyond the standard home buying process explanation, she shared key stories and tips that convinced us that she had that perfect balance of industry expertise, street smarts, and personal touch.

Once we started working with her, she was super quick to send us a list of recommended lenders and promising listings our way. For much of the market, it's essentially how much money you're going to outbid the other parties. But sometimes there are special circumstances and Sunny is able to tap into the personal side of homebuying and makes it a warm process while always keeping in mind how to stay competitive and savvy. Any decent modern realtor will have access and fully utilize all the standard tools of the trade like home listing websites, market comparisons, network connections, and whatnot but what makes a superb realtor is how they use that information and connection to navigate the landscape and find competitive advantages specifically for their client. This is where Sunny really shines at connecting all the pieces together. She noticed a small detail in the disclosure that was actually very important to the seller and encouraged us to highlight it in our client letter which was the key to winning us our dream home without a bidding war.

Of course, I can't talk about Sunny without David. They come as an experienced pair with a long working history. They balance each other very well with their different styles and skills. David was very key in providing alternative suggestions, bouncing ideas/points with Sunny, and same day home inspection summaries that gave us an idea of how much it would cost to renovate and repair a potential home.
Sunny helped to facilitate a lot of the moving parts for the closing, escrow, and renovation. Sunny gave us a clear outlined timeline of what and when to expect. They were always on top of calling people right away because in this market, time is crucial. When I spoke to another friend who was going through the home buying and escrow process at the same time, they were envious of how well Sunny guided us so clearly. This same friend had two different realtors and made far more offers than I did throughout a whole year of house searching. Finally she was able to win a home due to the advice I shared with her that Sunny taught me.

After we settled down, Sunny and David came by to check in on us and gave us a super thoughtful custom gift basket. Overall, in about 2 months, we toured 10 homes, and Sunny helped us make 5 offers. I believe that having Sunny on our side we were able to keep it to such a short process and lesser but stronger offers. There's no question of who we will go to for more real estate needs we may have in the future. We wholeheartedly recommend Sunny Kim to any of our family, friends, and colleagues.
