Got here around 10:13am on Tuesday. The guard said the line was not too bad. I had handful of ppl in front of me. They were calling 267 and I was 279. It took about 20 min when my number got called. The lady with the cute heart glasses was really nice and courteous. Why can’t every gov employee like her?! Though she couldn’t quite help me with the error msg I got online when setting up as a claimant (due to the existing profile that I couldn’t reset), she set me up to get a phone call from another dept (not tech support) that was able to just sent me link to reset pw without having to enter my previous benefit check amt (from 12 years ago!) the Edd guy on the phone also admitted to the flaw the system has and apologized. So all in all, a visit to the office is what it took to reset password problem. I’d recommend visits this office which is quite convenient and pleasant.

Unfortunately I'm on disability right now and had to go to the Van nuys office. It's very nice and the wait wasn't too bad. When you go into the building it's on the 5th floor. You have the option to park in the plaza but It is pretty pricey. Or you can park on the street and walk in. I chose to pay to park and it was $8 for about an hour and a half.
And for the record, they do not validate for parking. There are some businesses that do in the building but EDD is not one of them. Ironic right?

After weeks of calling the EDD customer service and no response whatsoever. I located an in person office. Although this office did not handle Paid family leave I was able to be placed in calling Que for a representative to call me back.
Staff were nice as well as the security guard
I went at 4:30pm left at 4:40pm and received a phone call about 10 minutes after leaving.
Representative was able to answer all my questions about my claim.

I was able to find free street parking

It went smooth just a lot of people. Like most are saying I waited about an hour and a half, they called my number, then the phone call to assist with all my issues. They DON’T validate the parking either. I found 2 hour street parking around the corner from McDonalds.

Walked in @3:30pm was out by 4:40pm. The agent was very helpful she helped me reset my online password. was able to access my account again 😑 nd put in a claim. Before going in i was on phone trying to get an agent from 9am to 3pm, then I got frustrated and walked in edd office. Ty

Waited an hour and some change, they move pretty quickly, all things considered. Had my questions answered and clarified. Person I spoke with was very helpful. Worth doing this instead of trying to call EDD, even if you have a longer than hour wait.

Parking costs up to $12 and they do not validate.

You just want to show up early if you can get here five minutes before it opens to wait in line that’s even better. If you walk in you’re looking at about 45 minutes to an hour and a half on waiting for your number to be called. It’s a nice place you have to pay for parking and sign in before you go upstairs. The security guard upstairs is a nice man so make sure you tell him the Google review guy said hi! 👋🏽
