I recently changed my auto insurance to Shelter. My agent is Justin Nunnery, he is a very sincere and helpful person. He explained my options and what my policy covered. I was so impressed with Justin that I decided to ask him if he could insure my house as well. He said he could and when he came to take pictures of the house, I invited him inside to see some of my antiques as in our earlier discussions I learned he liked antiques. As he was viewing the antiques he noticed I had a couple of light bulbs out, he asked if I wanted him to change them and since I am very short I gladly said yes! Now to me that was service above and beyond any expectations!! So if you need insurance and want someone who is knowledgeable of his insurance products as well as being thoughtful of his clients needs then you need to call Justin Nunnery at Shelter Insurance.

Justin is such a wonderful agent to work with. He makes the effort to find the right plan and price for you. He is always easy to reach and prioritizes your needs. His wife, Angelique, who works alongside him is the sweetest lady I have ever met. She is always ready to help and has a heart of gold!

I’ve been with Lewis Barnes shelter insurance for over 10 years and he was amazing. I never had any issues with him and 8 years ago I got in a head on collision and I remember the whole process being quite simple and worry free. A little over a year ago Justin nunnery shelter insurance moved into town and we were kicked over to him along with other clients to help him start up his business in this area. We were not asked if this were ok and we were not happy with it. In the year that have had him, we have had numerous ā€œmiscommunicationsā€ that I feel are due to him not listening to your questions or simply not understanding. His wife is his secretary and between the two of them they contradict what each other say and tell you different opinions and it makes no sense. On multiple occasions I have attempted to go in to his office during business hours and he will be already locked up and gone with no note on the door. I can’t stand professional business with inconsistent hours. We recently had a tornado that totaled my work truck and left me out of work and left a lot of people with a lot of wreckage. During the whole first week after the storm Justin Nunnery was pretty well un reachable. We called and called and was only able to get his wife and all she can ever say is ā€œ I don’t know, I’ll have to have him call you.ā€ He wouldn’t call back. The only time he called back was when I accused him of messing up my rental car policy…. He called back to justify himself and tell me that he didn’t mess up that I never asked for it. We went in on multiple occasions needing help during this hard time and the man was never in the office. The following week we called up to the store and were informed by a lady that nunnery and his wife were both out of town. Who the heck goes out of town and is unreachable to his clients during office hours right after a tornado hits the town? These 2 need to get their act together. We were unable to get car rental coverage because we didn’t have it on our policy I guess…. We had it for years before the forced switch to his office and when I was mad that we didn’t have it I was told that it was our fault because we never asked for rental coverage. Well, I never asked because I thought I already had it. I had it before and I was assured that my policies would all be the same after the switch and I guess it got mistakenly dropped off. What kind of person blames the victim for one? And what kind of agent expects the client to anticipate and ask for everything? Isn’t it the agents job to offer all the options and think of this stuff? Filing my claims with Nunnery after this storm was the most difficult and stressful insurance ordeal that I have ever had with any company and even though I have been with shelter for over 10 years, as soon at the claim was out of Justin Nunnery’s hands I cancelled all of my policies with shelter and switched to state farm. Even with full coverage shelter did not even come close to paying off my totaled truck loan and I can no longer feel comfortable in Shelters Hands in case of future incidents.
