If I could give no stars I would. Signed a lease for my daughter. The rental was filthy upon move in. Previous tenants left old and broken furniture in house, patio and garage. We hauled away as much as we could and left the rest. Food from fridge was thrown into garage and smelled so bad. Dog poop was all over the yard. There had been no cleaning done before we moved in. All was documented via pictures and move in assessment that we filled out and turned in. We did not renew lease due to so many maintenance issues that kept coming up with property. After move out we were notified that they were taking out money for cleaning fees and trash removal. When I complained Ben Mann accused me of lying about the condition that he was going to file a police report saying the girls stole things and the deposit was on hold. A few weeks later we received a new deposit refund amount with the trash removal fees removed but were charged $500 for curtain rods that were supposedly stolen and $150 for a ring doorbell that was stolen too. Nothing was stolen! There were curtains rods in a closet upon move in and were still there when we moved out. We have text messages from Ben before move in stating that there was no ring door bell on the property and we were welcome to install one. We also have receipt showing purchase of ring doorbell. Very dishonest company and so unprofessional. Even though Bailey was wonderful to work with….because of Ben stay away and please rent or place your rental with someone else.

I originally rented the apartment from a nice guy who then sold it to Select Management Group. The property itself is older, but the previous owner did a good job renovating it. Bailey and Bonnie were great. Ben the manager was rude and unprofessional towards me when I tried to discuss what I was being charged after I moved out from their Spruce St properties.
They charged me a total of $994.17. $600 of it came out of my deposit, and $20 from a credit I had with them. $75 was for hauling a cheap grill that was there when I moved in, $10 to replace keys after I followed the directions given to me. There were some expected charges like replacing blinds, cleaning, touching up paint; however, when asked why I was being charged $475 for cleaning, Ben refused to give me a break down of why it was so expensive. When I mentioned that $475 for cleaning without any sort of breakdown is ridiculous, Ben said “it’s a ridiculous world” Later I was told he was the only one who had access to the cleaning invoice.
The $85 for the grill and keys were waived, but when asked if they could provide me a new invoice saying that the fees were waived, Ben said “Seriously? You can’t subtract $85 from the total and write a check for that amount?” I told him I needed documentation, so they can’t decide later to send that $85 to collections. Ben did send a new invoice with the wrong total, so I went to their office to discuss the appropriate total and to get a copy of my check and receipt. I still think the amount I was charged is absurd, but I can’t afford the lawyers like they can with all the student loans I have from medical school. So I conceded instead of getting bullied by a collections agency.
I will not be doing business with them in the future, and I wouldn’t recommend it to others.

I can’t really quantify what you mean by wishing it were cleaner because you failed to provide an explanation of what was wrong with it.
And coincidentally, I no longer have access to said resident portal.

I moved to Fayetteville almost ten years ago from Little Rock. I wanted to escape from the life I knew and start my own. I've had many landlords, apartments, houses split into apartments-- I have NEVER had a company be willing to help so much. As long as you are determined and willing to communicate- Select Management is willing to work with you and help in any way that they can.

I have been renting since I was 18 here in Fayetteville. I will be turning 28 this year, and out of all the landlords I have had- I will ALWAYS check the available listings under this management team. I even recommend the available listings to ALL my friends.

I love Bailey, she's the sweetest person EVER. Not only is she nice, but she also goes ABOVE AND BEYOND to make you feel heard. Having her as the bridge for communication is PERFECT, because she will do anything and everything to make sure your needs are met! What a wonderful human. It's very helpful to know that if you ever need to speak with them, they will answer your questions as quickly as possible, with amazing customer service skills. Any issues I have- they get solved.

Ben has been my landlord for three separate locations, and I am forever grateful to rent underneath a company that is ALL ABOUT MAKING SURE YOU HAVE A PLACE TO CALL HOME. BEN ALSO goes the EXTRA MILE- He is someone I would be willing to RENT FROM TILL THE DAY I BUY! The daily work they put in that most of us DO NOT SEE, does not go unnoticed. In a college town, that is constantly evolving- I am happy to be a LOCAL under SELECT MANAGEMENT. Big THANKS to KRISTIN, BAILEY, WAYNE, and BEN!!! Thank you for all of your hard work.

Will evict people during a global pandemic with 24 hours notice following a holiday weekend even though rent was paid on time (the first). They were offered to be paid same day for back rent by the housing authority and they declined to be paid and continued with eviction. Then Ben was too cowardly to take a phone call to explain the reason why. Thanks, Ben, for making my son homeless.

I really do not suggest living in their Florida Way houses off of Caro Springs unless you love sleeping while it’s 78 degrees in your room 🙂 I understand that it is out of their control, but when I tried to call them and get some sort of help with it I was given no empathy at all. They couldn’t care less about my frustration with the heating/AC unit.

I have rented from Select Management for over 7 years. Ben and his staff are super nice. If I ever have an issue with anything they are very quick to respond.
