This is one of those real estate office that takes your $$ but doesn’t bother to do a credit check. Makes no sense. Never returned my phone calls either. For some reason Out of two applicants I was not picked, without a credit or background check?

Just closed on our dream home today with Judy and Jerry's help. I can't even begin to express how happy we are with Seaport Village! As a recent buyer of a home sold by Seaport Village Realty I want to offer a word of caution specifically when working with Juan Marichal and George Eli. My wife and I bought a home from Juan several months ago. During this process he showed a lack of integrity that was alarming. Juan and his partner George flipped the home they sold to us. Many of the repairs done to the house were not up to code. Several of the upgrades and repairs were done in a way to hide the shotty work from the home inspector. Due to concerns about their poor business practices we hired private licensed professionals to come and inspect the work. They confirmed the shotty work and we were able to negotiate for correct repairs. Unfortunately Juan and George were better at hiding their poor workmanship than we were at finding it. So several months after closing on the house we noted that windows they replaced were leaking, badly. We asked them to correctly repair the windows since it was part of our closing agreement that they would replace these windows. They refused. For such a reputable company this behavior was uncharacteristic and alarming for professionals who pride themselves on representing owners with integrity and honesty. This behavior seemed to demonstrate a lack of accountability and behaviors that appeared negligent and unethical. Please be warned and mindful that appearances can be deceiving so that you do not become a buyer with a similar story. The exterior is not always what it appears and full disclosure is not always a guarantee. Seaport Village Realty tried to help us resolve this issue, but were unsuccessful in doing so. We appreciate their help but question why they would employ people engaging in such practices.

I bought a house with Juan Marichal from Seaport Village as my realtor. It was a foreclosure, but nothing he should not be used to. He would have blown the deal if it was not for my Mortgage Broker and their Attorney. I was still hit with $2000 in fees at closing that he never told me about, and still has not properly explained. Then to top it off he had an affair with my wife, now ex-wife. Use at your own peril!
