At about 1030 on 8/9/2024, I attempted to utilize shared branching services at a SafeCredit Union in Rocklin. My credit union is EFCU financial. The SafeCredit Union atm gave me the option to deposit onto my EFCU debit card. I deposited $1600 and the atm did a hard reset, taking my money and my debit card. SafeCredit Union manager, Ronila Prasad, informed me that I would have to have EFCU dispute the atm transaction to be refunded. Ronila informed me that she could not help me at all since I was not a SafeCredit member, she did not even ask for my information for when the atm was counted down. She was nice enough to let me know that counting down the machine would do no good since SafeCredit doesn't own the machines or provide service to them. After speaking with EFCU, there is no transaction to dispute, as the atm never sent information before resetting. It has been almost a month and no one from SafeCredit can tell EFCU anything about this or will return calls to EFCU to clear the matter. After several unreturned calls, I finally had to walk into SafeCredit and hand Ronila my phone with an EFCU representative on the line. Ronila again refused to help, just said to call shared branching. Shared branching doesn't know what to do because the atm sent no transaction information. Do not use the credit union for shared branching services if you actually want your money. Ronila told me their atms are not setup for shared branching, though they give you the option and do not have sign saying otherwise. Ronila said this happens a lot at her atm. This is not right and needs to be corrected asap.

I've been a member since 1994 and it is honestly the best bank I have ever done business with. The staff is always very helpful and their customer service is top notch! I highly reccomed this bank.

Customer service is great. The loan officers helped guide my teen son in strategies to establish good credit and provided excellent counsel. A shout out to Horacio Lunar Garcia. He was both patient and instructive throughout our conversation and answered all of my son's questions. He listened intently to our plan and needs and provided great advice regarding best approaches for loans, credit cards, and planning for future needs. When we walk into SAFE we feel we have a group of financial partners. The Bank Tellers make us feel like they know us and they offer the services that meet our financial needs.

SAFE CU could have done a better job with the system upgrade. The information I received said that “All” account numbers would be changing. After changing and forwarding my multiple direct deposit paperwork, imagine my surprise when my employers said the account numbers were the same and haven’t changed. Talked to SAFE CU and they said, “You don’t have to do anything your direct deposit information remains the same.” That’s not what your information stated!! Unnecessary stress.

Loan officers dont take the time to ensure all information is correct before they start quoting or guaranteeing information or running your credit. Horacio LunarGarcia quoted us an amount, those numbers changed 3 times, each time with an apology and a sorry I don't know where I got that number. Never answers phone, had to walk into branch to make contact. Called manager to complain did not do much good. Now I am fighting to get credit inquiry removed from credit report and I am being told it is my fault that I misunderstood them. Yes, I misunderstood that my home would need to double in value in 30 days. Becareful when doing doing a loan with this branch, no concern for accuracy, no attention to detail, no accountability and no customer service. Lost my business for good today!
