To Whom It May Concern,

I am writing to express my profound dissatisfaction with the service I recently experienced with Ameriprise managed by Rod Barnes. Despite multiple clear explanations of my needs, the paperwork was handled incorrectly, resulting in a significant financial loss of $12,000. This is an amount I could have utilized during a critical time, and the response I received from Danielle Smiling—"at least you don’t have to worry about it at the end of the year"—was not only dismissive but also deeply disappointing.

This is not the first negative experience I’ve had with Ameriprise, and it has solidified my decision to no longer engage with this company. I felt my needs were glossed over, and the lack of attention to detail was glaring.

When dealing with money saved by a loved one over their lifetime, the expectation is to receive care, respect, and meticulous effort. Unfortunately, that was not my experience. The inability to process paperwork correctly and the failure to take meaningful action to address the situation demonstrate a concerning lack of professionalism.

I would caution anyone against entrusting their finances to a company that cannot meet basic standards of accuracy and accountability.
