I wish I had checked Google review before I got in business with these people. It has been a horror show since day one. Because of their lack of communication/ability to communicate, I had to pay equivalent to two years worth of insurance premiums in penalties to my mortgage company. And far be it from Rio grande insurance to take any accountability or try to improve their processes so this doesn’t happen to anyone else. If I could rate them zero stars I would definitely do it. please don’t put yourself through this stress, there are a million other agencies out there.

Don’t go here. They charge you 5 times the market rate. If you can get someone to pickup the phone, they can’t help you with anything. Switched insurance and saved $3200 per year. Buy directly from the insurance provider. Don’t bother with this business! Avoid! Not recommendable.

Emailed my agent at Rio Grande last year to renew my insurance policy. No response. Called instead and was told that agent was no longer with the business. I was promised a call back at the end of the day and was told they would run a quote. No call. I then decided to purchase a policy on my own with another carrier. I leave a voicemail and indicate that I no longer want the previous policy and I've purchased a policy on my own. Still no call back. Later received a letter that I somehow owe a balance. Called back again indicating that I switched insurance companies. How is it that I now have an account in collections for an unpaid balance And don't get me started on the issues I faced when I had a policy through them.

Called - no answer. So I decided to request a quote online just because Progressive recommended this company - no response. I would hate to have insurance with them and get this kind of service when I had a claim.
