I filed two years of taxes for my husband and I last year in 2018. The person who helped us was very helpful in explaining and guiding us through this process as were young adults and are not knowledgeable when it comes to those sort of things. Everything was good and we were not aware of things we should check for when it comes down to filing taxes.

I applied to school and tried to apply for financial aid I was approved but the only thing holding me back was that at Quint Tax Services marked me as married filing separately for the year of 2017 and for 2018 even though I had just gotten married in 2018. I called back, again not knowing what the process is and asked if he can fix the mistake. The guy that was on the phone stated you have to do an adjustment of status and you have to pay $75. In my opinion he made a mistake, we’re all human, we all make them. I understand we have to pay so I shopped around and I saw if there was anything else within my budget there was not .

He was the cheapest (or so I thought) and since he already had all my information I decided to call back, and someone answered I explained my situation and I got “well I don’t know you have to do an adjustment of status.” I told him okay well what are the steps and he said well i don’t know you have to come in. I said okay well how much do you charge, he then stated it’s $150 for an adjustment of status, surprised that he doubled the price I questioned it and asked how come last week you told me different, he right away was very defensive, and said well I don’t know who you spoke with and I don’t know what you told him. I simply said I said the same scenario and they stated $75 . He then got more frustrated and said well I don’t know for a single person it’s $75 and for a married couple it’s $180. He was all over the place an started being rude. So I just said you know you were very helpful at first and now you’re very rude and I want you to know you lost me as a client. I had referred my dad to him . My family and I will NEVER do business with someone who CANNOT be consistent with their customer service. I understand that it’s tax season and it’s busy but there is no reason why his customer service should change at any moment especially if I’m being very respectful and understanding about the situation.

Quint Tax Services did an outstanding job with the filing of my taxes for 2022. I recently moved here from NJ and they were able to file all appropriate documents for me and get me a nice refund. $$$ Cha-Ching!
