Worst unhelpful bank. I paid off a loan early and they marked it as closed they weren't able to tell me why just "takes time"That marked negative on my credit and two weeks later it was marked as closed again giving double negative points when this is supposed to help my credit. Bank teller and loan officer we're not aware of terms for loan or basic standard questions. Withdrawing my savings and moving bank.

I've never been a member of Provident Credit Union but my experience at this particular location was remarkable enough to warrant 5 stars.
I'd made an appointment online to get an auto loan refinanced and unfortunately my appointment was never recorded when we came in.

Yet, Ari and her team still managed to find time to get us a slot immediately and were able to help us out with necessary questions regarding refinancing. Ari went above and beyond while answering our questions and her advice was practical enough to convince us that she had our best interests in her mind.

We left this place as happy and grateful customers and are sure to return back in case we want to move ahead.

I have been going to this branch for 20+ years, they have always treated me and the family well. The managers through all of the years have been friendly and accommodating, they remember your name and are respectful. Looking for a credit union or a financial institution that won't treat you like a number? Then this may be your place.

Their ATM machine retained my B of A debit card last night. When I called them today to ask why, they told me their ATM was malfunctioning last night but unfortunately they cannot return my card to me because it was from another bank. Even though I’ve been a member with them for about 20 years. So, I had to call Bank of America to have my card replaced and now I need to update my information with sll of the merchants/accounts that I use that card with, all because their machine malfunctioned. No apology from them either.

I really like the staff at this location and I used to use them very often for share branch transfers. The only reason I give it 3 stars now is because they discontinued the shared branch network “co-op” for independent credit unions.

They are still very helpful, and they have especially good return dates and interest rates.

They could benefit from more locations though. Overall a good bank, I would definitely bank with them in addition to a larger bank.

Ms. Shah was at the san mateo branch and was very helpful and had so much knowlodge of things i never knew about. She helped me get a lower rate for my credit card by doing a balance transfer and even a lower rate for my car then what I had before. I appreciate all her help for what she did for me. I would reccomend her for sure to anyone who needs help with either auto loan or credit card info she knows it all. Thanks again Ms. Shah 🤗🤗🤗

Provident has been providing excellent service to me since day one of my membership 2001.
Shrawan ghimire kept up this high level of service today by steering me in a better direction on which type of account would be best suited for placing my Money while still allowing the access I need
