This was recommended by family on the east coast. We took 10 kids ages 2 to 10 and they had such a blast. Very well organized, very kid friendly, and a nice bonus cruise for the adults. A lot of fun; well worth the investment. Starts in downtown Manteo. Parking was easy and downtown is very pleasant.

First time trying this adventure...
WOW! That best describes how much effort the staff put into making this a fun and memorable experience for our 6 & 3 year old grandchildren!
A month later our 6 year old was still talking about the pirate boat and the things they did to find the treasure.
We were on board in mid-August so it was hot, but the boat, errr pirate ship, had a covered seating section for the adults.
The staff was incredible, they were great with the kids, funny and played out the treasure hunting story with enthusiasm!
Well worth the $$$.

This was a really fun and very interactive excursion for my 4 year old. The staff was absolutely amazing! I can't say enough about them.
From the time you sign in to the point of leaving the adventure it's nonstop interaction for the kids.
Dress up like a pirate. Face painting. They teach you pirate talk. Search for real treasure. Have the kids look for the "X" on the map. Find the pirate in the water who stole and hid the treasure. The kids each get a part of the treasure that they worked so hard to find.

My kids had such a good time! I was worried my 2 year old wasn't quite old enough but she was just fine and had a blast. The "pirates" were wonderful and seemed to really enjoy being with the kids. We will add this to our annual OBX trip!

Pirate Adventures of the Outer Banks was a fantastic way to spend the afternoon! The kids just loved every minute of the trip and the staff went out of their way to make sure everyone had a great time. We would definitely recommend this trip for anyone with small children. The deck is enclosed and safe for children of all ages. Our grandsons, age 3 and 5 simply enjoyed every minute from the time they received their pirates vest and "tattoo" to the time we came back to the dock 🙂 Thanks to the staff for a most memorable adventure.

Our Grandkids loved this activity. The staff is great and provides a fantastic and fun experience for kids of all ages. Its worth every nickle of the admission price and much more. Be sure to bring your video cam. The kids want to come back and do it again next year. What more can you say ? ?

Where treasure can be found! Fun for kids age 5+ because there's a little bit of reading /lots walking .... But lots great memories to be made here! Allow 2hrs to enjoy entire museum. Love that they offer a second day admission free with receipt.

We took our 7 and 4 year old grandkids on this pirate cruise and it was so much fun! Very interactive with the kids and held their interest. Most of all, they had fun and so did the adults! I would definitely do it again.
