If I could give 0 stars I would. Sarah has been the most inconsiderate landlord I’ve ever dealt with. For two years Ive dealt with it and was very patient with her regarding the property. After going through a house fire I was in desperate need of a home. When I Moved in the lease was 975 the carpet was old and was not cleaned
Properly neither was the home cleaned properly. I dealt with a terrible odor in the home the entire time I stayed there. The Unit is old and she doesn’t want to put money in getting it up to date even the guy she sends out to service it said it …so summer time the bedrooms are hot and winter they’re cold. I renewed the next year rent went up to 1025. No updates had been done to the home and at this time no yearly inspections had been done ( better yet it was never done the entire time I was there) this year renewal time she went up to 1075 but added a fee if I renewed that has to be paid and when I asked she said it was for the trouble they go through for getting the lease Renewal signed and for inspections ( once again which she never done). At that point I was over it wasn’t that I didn’t have it, it was the principle of the matter none of this was in my lease. The entire time she added to and took away what she wanted from the lease when I let her know I was moving she didn’t even give me time to move out before the home was posted ( the next day) and hassling me about allowing possible tenants to come view the property while I was still there and refused to allow me and my personal belongings to be removed before she started allowing random
People to walk in ( my place at the time bc I had paid rent). When I asked her to please allow me time to move she responded you signed your lease stating you would cooperate if I needed to show the house prior to you leaving. She sent a ridiculous list of things she wanted completed before moving out or she would keep my deposit.
Not to mention half of the crap on the list wasn’t done when I moved in, but hey I’m a hardworking single mom of two I needed my deposit EVERY SINGLE THING ON THE LIST WAS DONE BY ME AND OTHER PROFESSIONALS. I video’d everything before leaving. Sarah reaches out about a table
On the back porch and a grill that someone in the neighborhood wanted and was supposed to come by and get it,
Also 2 ONE dollar cup of noodles
And Glad plastic wrap which was left in the cabinet ( 3 items) she stated if she has to remove
Those items it would come out my deposit I’m like OMG really just trash it she replied she could be sued I’m like lady who would do a lawsuit for damn noodles. On my videos which was sent to her you can clearly see the carpet was still wet she requested me provide her with an invoice to prove it was professionally cleaned which wasn’t in my lease so at this
Point I feel like she is just picking and looking for something to keep my deposit so I called my attorney he read every text my lease and clean up list and actually told me I have a pretty good case and that I wasn't required to send her anything and I didn’t
butttt I went and removed the noodles and plastic wrap and sent her text to let her know and she replied with a laughing emoji. This has been a Horrible experience do yourself a favor avoid this place but if you decide to proceed document everything and read Your lease with an attorney she will add and take away from it whenever she chooses to and expect you to comply. Glad I got an attorney
