My parents were clients of Phillips financial for approximately 5 years. Chris Phillips was generous with his time and helpful with planning assistance and investment. However, we felt it was time to go with a different financial planner. The move was amicable on our part, and although Chris expressed regret we were parting ways, he wished us well and agreed to close our accounts.

However, his son, David Phillips, began contacting my mother, using manipulative language to attempt to convince her to change her mind and stay with Phillips Financial. He said her actions were "wrong", "not reasonable", and that we should "Show his father respect". When I confronted David about this, he began sending emotional rants, calling my mother's actions "unethical", and telling me that my actions would have "very serious consequences", and that I was "an insolent young man". Finally David Phillips requested that I meet up with him in person somewhere other than his office to "see how I conducted myself in person; just you and me." Not sure what he meant by that, but to me felt like a threat of physical violence, and it is definitely not the way I would expect someone to act who wanted my business.

It is my opinion that David Phillips is not able to conduct himself in a professional manner, and I felt compelled to write this review and hope that no one else suffers from his manipulative tactics. It is my opinion that he can be pleasant and professional at times, but when challenged or told something that he doesn't like, he cannot control his tongue. It is my opinion that someone who manages people's financial plans should be above reproach at all times, but especially when conducting business with people's life savings.
