This bank is quick and easy barley ever have to wait in line. The staff are helpful and I always feel welcome. Been with them for a few years and never had any issues.

I found a nearby “shared-branch” Credit Union (CU) (to
accept my CU’s ATM card) so I could make a necessary
withdrawal. The Patelco teller (who I later
learned was Asst. Mgr Christina Marquez-Yanit), kindly
said I could make withdrawals from their ATM outside.

I went to the ATM, requested a withdrawal, & was
informed there was a limit. I hadn’t experienced that
when making an ATM withdrawal from my CU,
so I decided to call them.
The strip-mall where Patelco’s located was bustling &
noisy 2 Saturdays ago, so I went inside Patelco to call
in a quieter setting. I was as unobtrusive as possible:
I was clean; tho dressed casually, so were others;
I stood against the far wall 9’ from clients & tellers;
& I spoke quietly.

While on hold, Patelco’s Security came over & told me
to leave. I said I would after finishing my call, & asked
for the mgr. Christina arrived & said because I wasn’t
opening an account or making a transaction, I must
leave. I said that, in fact, my call had to do with
making a transaction at their shared-branch ATM,
& I invited her to be as pleasant as she was
when we spoke earlier.

Christina became defensive & walked away.
Neither Security nor Christina objected to my
appearance, voice level,
or said I was interfering with clients.

During my 15 minutes’ call, Security came over
4 more times to ask me to leave. Each time,
I politely stated I would when I finished my call.
And I did. I went back out to the ATM
& made a withdrawal authorized by my CU.

Though startled that Patelco's behavior allowed them
to be a shared-branch member, I understand they can
have any rules they want, even if they create
a most uninviting experience.
Thus, I share this with the community.

Robert was Extraordinary helpful and extremely knowledgeable on helping me choose which credit card best suited to my needs. I know that their branch closed at 6pm and my appointment was at 5:30pm. I process took bit longer then I thought. But Robert was very patient. He actually stayed to 6:50pm, way after their closing hours. I decided to go with Patelco Passage Rewards World Elite Mastercard® Credit Card.
Was approved. So excited, can't wait!!!

Patelco has been amazing and this branch in particular is one of the best.
Yaveth has been helping me with a membership and he went above and beyond to address all of the issues. Although I didn't realize at the time, he had to postpone his lunch break because the process took a long time. Robert who is the branch manager is extremely knowledgeable and very helpful. While waiting I also observed that the other staffs are very helpful to all the clients that coming in the branch. I definitely recommend patelco and this particular branch.

This bank uses old tactics to charge overdraft fees like not updating your online balance for 4 days making you think you have available funds. Never, ever, ever answering their phone, you will wait for hours before they answer your call. I haven't had a return check in over 20 years but I've had 2 in the first 3 months with this bank. Today it took 42 minutes for them to answer the phone. This bank is living in the 80s. Even their Zelle service takes 24 hours.

Reached out about needing information about a home loan and was scheduled an appointment. When we got to our appointment it turns out the person we had our appointment with was not even there and we had to reach her via email. Jennifer I believe her name was from the one on story and king emailed me asking paper work already. I replied with questions and til this day she has not responded back. Horrible customer service! Never going back again.

Absolutely love these guys!!! The teller was nice, the manager was a cool guy, and they make sure everyone is safe inside by semi-locking the doors if/when the bank is full!!!!
