The type of people that you employ are always going to be a reflection of who you are as a company. I lived in an oakbrook residence for 2.5 years and had horrible experiences with management being rude and lying constantly. The Property Manager at the Brassworks Apartments harassed my guests and even chased them with her car and blocked their car in the parking lot. She’s made racist and discriminatory comments about guests and other tenants. This is not acceptable. After reading all the other horrible reviews about this company, and not receiving a response from higher up management, it is clear this is not a company anyone should want to rent from.

Irresponsible company, all the way to Mr. Michael C. Morey, the vice president. here is my story:
I've been living in limestone ridge apartment for 8 months now. from the first month, I noticed unbearable noise issue emanating from poorly engineered downdraft damper chosen by the contractor. This deprived me of sleeping well regularly and I resorted to using industrial grade earplugs, yes, it is that bad!
Long story short, I documented the noise, I contacted EVEYONE multiple times, all the way up to the vice president of the company via my LinkedIn account. I heard nothing, and nothing was done to rectify this issue, which is in my opinion a heath issue and is breach of responsibility of this company as the legal entity behind managing and maintaining a livable environment for tenants.

Really confused how any one is even a resident at UP Commons when it's literally impossible to get a response in any manner. As a disabled Madison resident, it is really disheartening to finally find somewhere that is affordable but impossible to even apply for and see if I qualify. How does one go about getting a response? All my calls lead to multiple unanswered emails. I even stopped by and was told the unit I was interested in was taken. Weeks later and it still says available and I've still had zero response on how to even apply in the first place.
How do we fix this?

Former resident here. Lived in an Oakbrook property (The Edge) for over a year and I have to say they are incredibly unprofessional. As a resident, our elevator would break down all the time and they would take days to inform the residents what was happening or when it would be fixed. And now that I've moved out, they have suddenly "disappeared" and are withholding my entire security deposit. Under Wisconsin law they are supposed to return it to the resident within 21 days however it's been almost TWO MONTHS. I've left multiple calls and emails and still no response. Will be considering legal action soon.

We recently had the opportunity to work with a New Member of the OakBrook team on a commercial building we were looking at. That building was no longer available so the Broker “Tony k.” Put together rather quickly a list of properties that were suiting to our needs & wants. To be honest, we were not expecting him to listen as thoroughly as he did vs just shoving listings at us and hoping we like it.

Working with Tony we always got a sense he was serious, patient, very well educated and ALWAYS had our best Interest. there were times we would call him for simple clarification on things or just status updates and he would either answer or call back with just a couple hours. He was able to negotiate us a 5 year lease with more tennant perks than we have ever had before (we have 7 locations prior to this) so that speaks volumes.

If you have the need for a Commercial Broker ASK FOR Tony K. Because I promise they are not the same!
