This company is full of lies I have messages stating they would buy the house from us and they would fix the house and promise we have first priority to buy the house back, they are legit but they do whatever they want I talked to them 3 weeks ago saying the House is being worked on this whole time they sold the house for less than we sold it for just be aware if you go through them because they do whatever they want once they get what they want contract promises mean nothing to these people all they want is property and money, it was a experience and a lesson learned just be aware of the promises they do not keep.

My family had a rather unique situation. The childhood home of my Grandfather (we'll call him "DO") is located in Ventura and was owned by him and his twin brother (who we will call "DA") DO lived in Bakersfield while DA lived alone in the Ventura home. In Nov 2024 DA was hospitalized and told he would no longer be able to live alone. During DA's hospitalization DO visited the home and discovered it's condition had deteriorated significantly and being an almost 100 year old home that had never had any major updates, many items were not up to code. It was decided that the home would be sold to cover the cost of DA's medical care and nursing home expenses but the condition made it clear that a cash buyer would be needed. In late December Austin Hartman was contacted and upon viewing the home provided a very fair cash offer that included all fees and a quick escrow; exactly what was needed. He also shared the plans he had to completely rehabilitate the property and turn it back into a nice home that a new family could enjoy, which made DO very happy because selling was not an easy decision due to sentiment. Unfortunately, 3 days into escrow DA passed away which meant closing would be delayed by a few weeks while necessary documentation regarding the death was processed. DO decided to continue with the sale, knowing he would never live in the home again or have the means to refurbish it himself and being able to have the money available for his own possible future medical needs offered a sense of security during a tough time. However, 3 short weeks later (just 2 days before escrow was ready to close) DO also passed away, rather suddenly. We quickly learned that probate would now be necessary. Some estranged family members made the already long probate process a bit longer and more difficult than anticipated. It took a total of 13.5 months to finally get the ok to finalize the sale and close escrow. During the entire process, which was very emotionally straining and stressful for my mother who was named executor of the estate, Austin remained compassionate, professional, patient and helpful. We are so thankful to him for not only sticking it out, but doing it with such grace and, even though my grandfather won't be able to see the finished product after renovations, we find peace knowing that it will be done as he wished and are looking forward to seeing it ourselves.
