I have lived all over the US and this is the worst credit union I have ever been a member of. Debit cards will FREQUENTLY stop working with no explanation or warning. Saying invalid pin or insufficient funds even tho neither is true. The phone number on the cards is just the Arcata branch, so as soon as they close for the day there is no one to help you when you suddenly can’t access any of your money for no reason. Then the next business day when you can finally get someone to help you, none of the employee’s will give straight answers or have any idea what is going on. In the past, I have been stuck out of town not able to eat or get gas to go home even tho I had plenty of money, and had let them know I was going out of town in advance so they wouldn’t flag my card. I just had to wait until their next open business day before I could go home. My daughter had an issue with her card not working and it took THREE DAYS of them saying “oh theres no problem, she should be able to use it fine” before it actually worked again. Tonight it wont let us use the banks own ATM on any of our separate accounts. This stuff has happened at LEAST once a month and we are all sick of it. All of our family members who use this credit union are currently setting themselves up so that they can close out their accounts here ASAP.

Some of the nicest and helpful people that I have ever dealt with .Most all of my comunications have been by phone very polite and super helpful. 20yrs.almost and still happy with NRFCU.

They have awsome customer service and is a pleasurable place to come into. But only sown fall is there closed on weekends.
