I cannot determine whether this attorney was incompetent or if he had a personal bias against me. He was appointed as my court-appointed attorney, yet despite his oath to uphold justice, he strongly insinuated that he could provide far better representation if he were privately paid. After he made this statement—on two separate occasions—I immediately terminated his services. I then represented myself in one and then found an attorney true to his oath on the other and secured a favorable outcome in both cases.

From my experience, this attorney appears to prioritize defending individuals accused of serious crimes, such as sex offenses and child abuse, rather than advocating for justice. At no point did I feel that he was invested in my case or the well-being of my children. I believe I lost a significant amount of valuable time relying on his legal strategy, which ultimately put me at a disadvantage. The consequences I now face are, in part, due to his delays and poor representation.

It became clear that my case’s success was compromised the moment he saw an opportunity to negotiate with the district attorney—potentially trading the outcome of my case to benefit others. In my opinion, he is a terrible attorney. If your goal is to ensure justice, I would strongly advise seeking different legal representation. However, if your objective is to protect someone accused of heinous crimes, this may be the attorney for you.
