It was a nice short hike but my dog immediately became infested with ticks after less than a mile in those unmaintained grass trails. I had to comb him from head to tail to paws to belly to butt and remove over 40 ticks by hand. Do not recommend.

I love this place! I went on a guided hike and learned all about life under the Live Oak trees. Julie and Rick are amazing fonts of knowledge.

Training to volunteer there. This place is incredible and has the fairy tale backstory of being a golf course that was returned to the community and is now an amazing park.

clear the acres of 6 foot high grasses, thistles, foxtails obliterating the old golf cart paths, EXTREME FIRE HAZARD. you can't mow because of the red-legged frogs, then get GOATS, look @ other alternatives. you can't mow anyway, because there are too many fallen branches, tree debris. WE HAVE TO CLEAR EVERYTHING around our homes, but you have ACRES of 6 FOOT HIGH GRASSES, total DISASTER WAITING TO HAPPEN. CLEAR THE GRASSES. or close the park. it WAS a gorgeous area, now is DANGEROUS FIRE HAZARD.
