Mirastar recently took over the Santa Clara County Federal Credit Union - their service and process business is inefficient and not very user friendly.

I tried to set up an External Transfer from Mirastar to Chase bank account. All was completed except for the last step - where the system asked to verify my email address in order to proceed. I attempted to verify my email address - yet Mirastar never sent me a confirmation code ! I tried three more times and NEVER RECEIVED A CONFIRMATION CODE on my email. So I called the staff at Mirastar and he said that they can’t help because THEIR SYSTEM DOES NOT RECOGNIZE OR RESPOND TO GMAIL accounts ?!!! And asked me to created another email address that is compatible to their system ?!! How unacceptable is that request ?!!! As a 20 year plus customer of the Santa Clara County Federal credit Union I’ve had no problem with my email….Gmail account !!! Now Mirastar is asking for me to create a new email address ….. I asked them, WHY DON’T THEY FIX THEIR END OF BUSINESS and work with GMAIL accounts ?!

Unacceptable response and unprofessional business practices ! I can’t help but imagine HOW MANY MIRASTAR customers have GMAIL accounts ?!!! And they ALL have to create a new email through yahoo or any other email address to do business with Mirastar ?!!!! Hoping this review gets to someone of authority to make changes to accommodate their loyal customers.

If things don’t change, I unfortunately will have to take my money elsewhere that ACCEPTS GMAIL ACCOUNTS !

I have been a member at Santa Clara County Federal Credit Union since I opened my first savings account in 1983. I have had multiple loans, primary checking and savings accounts with them over the past 40 years. I used to have good experiences with them, but as they have grown membership, their customer service has plummeted. Their banking technology and mobile apps are pre-historic dinosaurs, none of the CSRs follow through on anything, and it's impossible to resolve any banking issues quickly. They just can't seem to keep up with the needs of the customer anymore, nor keep up with trends in banking industry.

If you have a choice in credit unions, I'd say to opt for a different one.

Today I was having a problem with my mobile app for county federal credit union. And the app kept blocking me to fix my pass word. I got locked out 6 times and called customer service 6 times and each time they reset so I can fix it but it kept locking me out. So had to call the coustomer service again. I talk to. Bryana she was trying to help me but I was frustrated and I was trying to explain to her and asking why dose it keep happening. She was not listing so well and as I was talking she hung up on me . That’s is not cool when your suppose to be there for the customer not hang up on them she didn’t help me. So I had to go in to the credit union on Almaden and the teller Manuel helped me and was very patient . He walked me thru every step and fixed my problem . And was very kind to make sure that everything was working before I left. I want to say. Manuel thank you for doing not just your job but going above to help me . We need more carding people like you.
