Initially, I was not going to post anything, and I have not even read Meseret's reply (and will not), but after some thought, I've decided to give this update. (She had nothing to say to us the day when came to her office but now wants to make comments.)

Yes, it's been 24 hours since I posted my review of MY personal experience and I have been sent a couple of disturbing messages from individuals who appear to be part of Meseret's circle. These messages have led me to the following conclusions: 1) Some of the good reviews are fictitious and were written by Meseret's associates and 2) Meseret or her associates closely monitor these reviews (good for them). Without going into details, the messages clearly support my earlier contention about the lack of professionalism.

I will NOT be intimidated nor will I change my review. My phone number and home address have not changed.

We had been going to Meseret for years. She made a suggestion that turned out to cost us more money in taxes; ever since, we have been paying more and more in taxes each year without explanation.

This past year, she asked for an extension because she was behind. We waited several months. Then, she starts calling us, threatening to have debt collectors come after us if we didn't pay that same day. She never said we could pay online and we thought that we didn't have to pay until we had signed the tax documents.

We paid online and later went to sign and retrieve the documents. We were working with her front desk clerk, who was very nice but who could sense the awkwardness. Meseret comes out of her office, gives an awkward "hello," and then goes back into her office.

I do not recommend this CPA. Very unprofessional and rude! There are too many CPAs available to be so poorly treated.

Meseret made a $5,000 error on my tax return which I had to pay to the IRS plus $450 interest. She refused to reimburse me for the interest charge. I suggest using another CPA.
