The Medcost Insurance representative who I dealt with was extremely knowledgeable and very courteous; it is very important when a patient is calling to confirm insurance benefits that their concerns and questions are treated with respect as each plan is different. The patient is essentially in the clench of the insurance policy so it is imperative that the customer service insurance representative guides the patient through the policy's zigzags with consideration of the patient's apprehension. My insurance representative did that with ease. I would recommend her as a "10" insurance customer service representative and Medcost Insurance accordingly as well.

Constantly having to call to get my claims processed otherwise they just sit there for up to a year, and then always getting billed the wrong amount and having to get it fixed and calling to follow up because half the time they forgot to send the claims over to the correct department. More stress than it’s worth using this insurance.

Wish I could give ZERO stars. I’m sure more folks have the same story but they owe me $2000 for reimbursement for my daughter’s braces. Have owed it for more than three months. I bet if I didn’t pay them for three months, they’d be fine with me just telling them repeatedly to be patient right. Lolz, Medcost SUCKS.

Medcost in general is difficult. Trying to get an out of network exception for a serious surgery that can not be done in Macon ga and they could not find the fax from my doctors office twice when they had confirmation. The third time I stayed in the line until it was received. During this delay my hip came out of joint for the fifth times. I am now waiting on an answer
