My taxes were filled incorrectly claiming 5600 child tax return when I only received 4800. Getting in touch with the IRS was arduous, but once I finally reached a person I was informed of the error and notified there was nothing I could do regarding the manner. So now I have paid $300 for Lavatai to prepare my taxes and due to his mistake I owe an extra $800 to the IRS. Take your tax business somewhere else.

Update: I have received nasty emails from Lavatai tax stating I didn’t provide them with letter 6419 (from IRS stating how much I received). That’s true, I provided them with a bank statement showing the 6 deposits for $800 for the child tax credit. When I multiply 800 by 6 I come up with $4800….. not 5600. Child tax credits were not initiated until July of 2021…. And why is someone completing my taxes when I don’t have all the required documentation…. Poor practice. There is no excuse when I was required to upload all documents a week before my tax appointment..
