Great agency, Amy is the best! She is always willing to go above and beyond to help you with any questions or concerns, she has a great personality on top of it. We were with this agency for nearly 10 years. When we decided to cancel our policy we waited until renewal and chose not to renew. We should have owed them $0 because our account was paid in full! However they charged us $227 for a cancellation fee for a policy that was up for renewal. We opened a policy with Farm Bureau prior to the cancellation. However, even though we provided a copy of the new policy to NATIONWIDE they turned us in to the state for having a lapse in coverage as retaliation for cancelling the policy. We had to get a copy of the policy from farm bureau and turn it in to the state to have the fine waived. We received a notification from a collection agency shortly afterwards saying that we owed $227 to NATIONWIDE for an unpaid balance. When I tried to dispute the claim with NATIONWIDE the receptionist told me that she couldn't figure out where the charge was coming from but that it did in fact show in the computer that we owed them money. The employees are rude and unhelpful. And even though we have had our account closed for several months I still receive emails from the office asking if I'd like a quote for a new policy and asking what they can do to regain my business. The answer is nothing! There is nothing that would make me go back to them! I refuse to ever give them another dime! They are a terrible company! If I could rate then zero stars that's what they would get!
