Kevin Story worked with us for over two years as we relocated from the South Bay to our "forever" home in the Santa Cruz area. We’d get excited about a listing and Kevin would get us an appointment within a day, sometimes within hours. He is incredibly responsive. And patient We looked at house after house, hemmed and hawed about whether to make offers, and then agonized over whether to increase our price when initial offers weren’t accepted. When we finally found THE place, in Soquel, Kevin’s experience and wisdom was essential as we made our initial bid, our counter, and got into contract.

Only then did we see how fortunate we were to have Kevin in our corner—the contract on the home we purchased was contingent on our getting our own home into contract within three weeks. A ridiculously aggressive timetable since our home was not show-ready. But Kevin was undeterred. He has an extensive list of inspectors, plumbers, electricians, painters, handypeople—all of whom we needed, all of whom he got on site pronto to get our house ready. His photographer and stager were fantastic, and Kevin spent hours with us, sleeves rolled up, lugging stuff alongside us to our U-Hauls.

We took a leap of faith with Kevin, and it paid off. Kevin was incredibly strategic about pricing. Two busy open houses later, we were in contract to sell at at well over asking price, more than we imagined we’d get, especially given the fire-drill timetable. We met the three week contingency, and Kevin and his assistant shepherded two contracts to successful close, counseling us through the usual escrow hiccups. We toasted the close of the sale of our old home on a one day, and the purchase of our new home the very next.

You’d think to do all this Kevin would have to be a hard-charging, type A real estate bulldog. Remarkably, though, Kevin is always calm, confident, reassuring, and laid-back. His patience in working with us for over two years eventually paid off for him, but he really had no idea if it would. Kevin is a delight, a pleasure to work with.
