The last two years have been incredibly difficult as I’ve gone through a rough divorce, and in the process, I really let my self-care slip. Now that I’m focused on healing mentally, emotionally, and physically I’ve been taking steps to care for myself again, starting with my health.

One of those steps was finally scheduling a long-overdue dental appointment at I Smile (because duh, always support local!). I went in this morning expecting just X-rays, since I was told the hygienist wouldn’t be in. Honestly, I was kind of bummed I thought it was going to take forever to get my cleaning scheduled. I was already feeling a little self-conscious about the state of my teeth after so much neglect.

But after my X-rays, the doctor came in, looked at my teeth, and said he could actually do the cleaning himself if I didn’t mind waiting a bit. In my head, I was shouting “YES!” I couldn’t believe it this was something I’d put off for so long, and now it was finally happening.

He did the cleaning, talked me through the next steps, and even mentioned the possibility of closing my gaps in the future something that’s always been one of my biggest insecurities. For the first time in a long time, my teeth are truly clean, and I feel like I can smile confidently again.

Thank you, I Smile and to the wonderful doctor who went above and beyond today. You didn’t just clean my teeth you helped restore a piece of my confidence. I’m so thankful.

I called this morning not realizing it was the best choice of my life. The front desk receptionist is very kind and helpful. When I got there I felt very welcomed. I proceeded with my appointment and got treatment same day! Thank you to all the technicians making me feel calm and reassuring me the procedure was going to be okay (I have anxiety). Dr. Melgar reassured me that everything will be okay and made me feel confortable and safe. I was a last minute appointment so I didn’t mind the wait at all. I left so happy and satisfied. I came in with a chipped front tooth and left smiling all the way home. I scheduled my cleaning as well. Loved loved everything!

This has been my dental office for 20 years ! Everyone from the front office manager Nubia to the amazing Dr. Melgar and my favorite and exsclusive hygienist Michelle for my whole family!
