This is the spot to choose! I desperately needed help with an urgent tax matter, and was so incredibly lucky to find Hordins Income Tax Service. It felt hopeless and frustrating not knowing where to turn with my search; and needing something beyond H&R Block or the like (actually using these in the past is why I was in urgent need of an expert!). I called around and around and connected with ones I’d extensively researched, but immediately knew this was the perfect place to help based on the respectful / quick response, direct advice, and action plan laid out on how to proceed. And that instinct was fully justified in the work! The attention to detail, expertise, and overall service that Tasha offers is exactly what I was hoping and praying to find and was so incredibly grateful. It took so much stress out of the process and really helped me through a tough situation. Stop searching around aimlessly and give her a call!!!

This is a sad story. It needs to be told so other people don’t make the same mistake. The simple takeaway from this story is do not use Hordins tax firm.

At one time, I had nothing but wonderful things to say about Hordins. But I am now in a terrifying situation because I relied on Tasha to do her job and she didn’t. I was laid off earlier this year. I needed my tax refund ASAP. She knew this.

I am a US citizen but live abroad and need my tax refund in a very bad way. I have relied on Hordin Tax Service for more than 10 years for my taxes. This year, for whatever reason, Tasha ignored 4 months of communications, lied to me numerous times, and unapologetically turned my taxes in late.

From the time I gave her my taxes and full payment, (1-23-24) to the time that she had my taxes ready was more than 42 days. (3-4-24) That would not be so bad if she filed them. But she didn’t and lied to me about it.

She ignored me and lied about my filing tax status. I did not find out she didn’t do anything with my taxes until 4-16-24!!!. She did not even mail them until 4-17. So, I spent another 45+ days thinking my taxes were filed but she never did them.

During these two time periods, I called and left messages more than 30+ times, I sent 20+ text messages, FB messages, I sent flowers, and I even sent her another $100 begging for a response. She ignored me every time and lied to me till the very end. Yesterday, I called the IRS again to verify they received my taxes. They have no record of receipt despite the “proof” Tasha sent me.

Do not use Hordin’s to do your taxes and if you are a current client, get your tax transcripts to verify she did what she said. She lied and covered up her negligence with me, so I am sure I am not the only one.

As it stands now, I cannot verify that my taxes were filed, she has ghosted me because she does not want to deal with the fallout from her negligent behavior.

What makes this worse, is that less than 6 months ago I paid her a substantial amount of money to get me caught up on my taxes and she supposedly filed 4 years of taxes. Right now, two of those years, cannot be verified. I am now dealing with a horrible mess of trying to figure out what has been done, and what has not. Tasha has been no help.

This is worth repeating, do not use Hordin’s Tax Service to do your taxes and if you are a current client, get your tax transcript to verify Tasha did what she said. She lied and covered up her negligence with me, so I am sure I am not the only one.

Tasha you should be ashamed for how you have treated me after all these years. I should matter to you.
