Our lawn looks gorgeous after using this company, which was recommended by the neighbor across the street. We have had this service for about six months now. I do see some weird fading in the area of our back yard, but it is winter and not sure yet what that is about so at this point can only leave a four star. However, to this point we have been impressed and it has been a worthy investment. We have used this company for around two years now and we were very pleased with them until just recently. We saw much improvement in our yard and were very happy with them. Then we started seeing small brown spots in the yard and were told that they needed to do three treatments in addition to our regular treatments in order to stop the spread of the spots. We went with their recommendation to the tune of over $600. The spots have spread even with the treatments and when confronted about it and after we asked for a credit, the response was a very brief one saying that we have a soil fungus and there would be no credit. We have canceled our service with them and would not recommend them to anyone. I want to change my review because as of today, the sales manager of Growing Green came by to look at the yard. He apologized for the outcome of the special treatments and had issued a full credit for our treatments. We have resumed service with them and are delighted with the customer service. I would definitely recommend them!! 2/3 reply: Update: 1/30 See screenshot for my review of the company. I’m 73 I signed a contract for one year of service. They came back out unannounced when I found them in my yard I sent them away told him I was not interested and now I’m getting a bill for $446 after I paid in full for one years worth of service trying to talk to the main office they have sent this to collections on me, and when you’re trying to talk to him, they hang up on you. This is not Hometown business. This is not Hometown service. This kind of attitude is probably what’s going on in Western North Carolina right now and the frustration. The people are feeling over there growing green if can do better it works great for my son. I don’t know why it’s a smaller yard but he’s continuing business with him. I chose for one year paid in full , and they are still acting like this. Thank you. I will never do business with growing green again. Would not advise it unless you keep a copy of the contract because they’ll tell you we don’t. We are in our second season with Growing Green and could not be more impressed with the turn around in our lawn. We live in a neighborhood where everyone takes care of their lawns and ours was not up to par. But after 1-1/2 seasons, our lawn is top notch. The service folks have always been professional and courteous on their visits. I highly recommend this company and appreciate their attention to detail. I wanted to let people know about the amazing services that have been performed thus far. While I did have to cancel my service recently due to moving, I greatly appreciate how easy that was to do since they don't force you to sign a contract for any amount of time. All summer they have kept the grass looking spectacular and I left their card on the counter for the next people moving in, hoping they would continue to rely on their amazing work. Curt takes great care of my lawn. He’s knowledgeable and professional. I get a ton of compliments on how green, lush and weed free my lawn stays. The office staff is wonderful. Highly recommend! If you want a weed infested lawn, if you want very unhealthy soil and if you want to be totally ignored after repeated phone calls and emails then you must and I repeat, you must use this company for your lawn service! Case in point, the only reason I had to mow this early in the season was to cut back the out-of-control weeds. Because of the abrasive chemicals they use our top soil has been burned away exposing tree roots and ground soil throughout the yard. In addition, for their fall overseeding the seed quality is a absolute joke! Now, all of the above was going to be a topic of discussion but they have yet to return my repeated phone calls or respond to my emails. This company and the lack of service they provide is nothing more then a scam and should be avoided at all costs.👍 Reviews of GrowinGreen

Tell me how it's company policy to pull routes one day ahead when I've been contacting about treatment that was 3 to 4 days ahead? And there really is much other options to move forward because I will yet be told one day ahead or for this current issue less than a day ahead. Which is not enough time to clear yard of magnolia leaves and seed pods that are constantly shedding right now. Which impacts the technician of using their equipment to do treatment on the yard. A two day notice would be more reasonable time for your customers especially during the winter times where people are less likely to tend to their yard compared to any other season.
I'm officially done with this company. We had one more session to do. However, it is apparently company policy that they HAVE to schedule the technicians routes only ONE day ahead. That wasn't a problem during spring/summer because the leaves in the yard are mulched up. But, it being winter and having a huge magnolia tree in our front yard that has been shedding it's leaves and seed pods like crazy. With having kids and both adults working full time day jobs it is hard to manage the upkeep of our magnolia tree during the winter months when we are less likely to tend to it compared to spring/summer.
The scheduling manager Jamie said it is company policy to ONLY schedule for treatments for the following day. But could not direct me to their policy for me to read. I understand weather and other factors that could be put into play. But the weather is not going to drastically change if a treatment was schedule 2 to 3 days in advance.
The beginning of the new year I had received a text on Friday about treatment either happening that following Monday or Tuesday depending on the weather.(had to cancel because family was sick and unable to clean up leaves and seed pods) So I fear that they can obviously send out more than a day notice to the customers
Last name should be McDaniel in the system
