I’ve been getting loans through this bank for at least about 10 years. I banked with some one else then switched back because they have good rates. The thing is that they are EXTREMELY hard to communicate with unless you physically go into the bank. I work the same hours they are open. You have better luck getting Santa himself on the phone than this bank to answer. Funny too because they’re NEVERRRR busy. Never a line. Apparently they just need training in reception.. Anyways like I said, good rates but awful customer service. Will no longer be referring people here either due to the lack of communication.

My experience with Golden Valley Credit Union regarding my auto loan payoff has been frustrating and disappointing. Despite paying off my loan on 3/20, I was assured that I would receive my title from the DMV shortly thereafter. However, after waiting over a month with no title in hand, I reached out to the credit union for assistance.

Upon contacting them, I spoke with Eva, who initially seemed helpful but eventually left me on hold for over 10 minutes before the call went to voicemail. After calling again, I spoke with Zennie, who explained that there's a 14-day hold period after loan payout, which I understood. However, it had been over 30 days at that point.

Zennie then provided an excuse about a supposed hold on the title due to a kickback in their system, which only surfaced after I called to inquire. When I asked to speak to a manager, Justin, the floor manager, essentially washed his hands of the issue, stating it was out of their hands and could take the DMV 14-50 days to resolve.

This lack of accountability and transparency is unacceptable. As a customer who has fulfilled their financial obligation, the delay in receiving my title is frustrating and inconvenient. Golden Valley Credit Union needs to improve their communication and take proactive steps to resolve issues promptly instead of leaving customers in the dark.

Hal @ Golden Valley Credit Union has always went above and beyond assisting/ guiding my Family with all our banking needs. Hal is the reason we are members and highly recommend working with Hal. Hal will be honest… so if you can’t handle his honesty stick with your current bank.

I received a call from this bank stating that my ATM card was compromised. So, they proceeded to cancel my card and issue another one. It was sent to an old address that I had over four years ago. When I asked why the address wasn’t updated, (since I went into the bank to make the needed changes over four years ago) she preceded to tell me I’m not the primary person on the account, and that my husband is. They managed to change the address for him but not for me. I said to her we’re married, how can it not be changed for me when I went in three different times to do so? Her answer is this is how they’re system is. Needless to say we are closing the account out, because we are sick and tired of the unprofessionalism.

My awesome credit union told me that they are a partner so I go inside and was met with the coldest one sentence response which was “we are only co-op though our ATM” puzzled by the captain obvious response, I didn’t know whether to think she was being sarcastic or not so I say ok and kindly turn around to use the atm which was broken. I understand not being branch co-op but literally no other attempt was made to help me. It felt like all they wanted was for me to leave. Maybe others have had a better experience but I cannot recommend this place as a professional establishment.

DON'T GO THERE! BEWARE OF GLITCHES IN THEIR SYSTEM. For the past week Golden Valley has been blocking my card. It was blocked over the three-day weekend for Memorial Day and I had to go to the bank Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, the three hottest days of the year, and wait outside in a line in 105 degree weather, to go and unblock my card Everyday they would unblock it, but then after I made a single purchase my card would be bucked again. Obviously there's a glitch, but they're just throwing your hands up in the air and saying they don't see that the card declined and that my card was not blocked. If it was not blocked then why would I only be able to use my card once safter going to the bank each day. Each time I went to the bank, i was able to ouse my card once before it wad blocked again. They're refusing to give me any numbers to any higher ups, and they're not even willing to escalate the problem.
It would be different ifthe issues were with vendors that I've never used, but these are vendors that I've been using for years... vendors that have my card stored in their system. I use these vendors all the time repeatedly, but all of a sudden they're being blocked. And not even once did anyone apologize or even offer to say I'll find out why this is happening, or let me see what I can do, ot apologize. So beware I hope this doesn't happen to you. But I think I'm just going to close my account there and take my two direct deposits somewhere else.

At least Golden valley credit union beats big banks such as with chase bank.

A $20 fee ain't nothing compare to chase bank over draft fee of $34.

Credit unions are a lot safer then big banks such as with chase bank

The staff members are always friendly & kind they dont put up with no real B.S.
