Second time I've had an issue with trying to take out a small amount of money but don't feel comfortable with atms. the people there get upset to give me my own money they say that's what atms are for. if that's a new rule please put it on the glass it's just upsetting and they're completely unprofessional and disrespectful don't like doing your job get another

Lines are literally out the door with 2 bank tellers!! After waiting 20 minutes in line I asked if I could get back $2,000 in $20’s! YES small bills! I can tell they get annoyed or frustrated which makes me uncomfortable. I never have a problem with Chase and I always ask for small bills! This is my 3rd time at golden 1 asking for small bills, never again!

It’s always dirty, closes up early, and the atms may or may not be working. Avoid if you can!

I have had an account here for almost 25 years. Things have been smooth and easy and they've been a great bank up until a few years ago when they started offering "business accounts" for a fee.
Since then I have had my account locked and scheduled for closure due to "business related activity" FOUR TIMES! Each time it has taken me hours to get my account unlocked and cancel the account closure.

What is "business related activity"? Well things like
1. purchasing too much stuff at home Depot.
2. Renting tools from Sunbelt.
3. Depositing checks that "look suspiciously business related"

Each time this happens I've had to be on the phone for nearly an hour. Send emails back and forth to a representative and twiddle my thumbs while all transactions are locked.
I have wasted a lot of time with this bank and am going to close my account myself.
If you have an account here I suggest you close it as well.

Every time I show up there is a crazy long line and only 2 tellers working.
**Update: Shocker! Crazy long line with only 2 teller, again! Why don't you hire more people?
**Update 2: I stopped doing my regular banking at G1 because I was tired of always waiting in line. Haven’t been here in months. But today I needed to access a different account I still have here and guess what! I’m standing in another LONG line with only 2 tellers working. I don’t understand why they can’t figure out that the first few days of the month are busy and they need more people working. I tell everyone I know not to bank here.

As a member for almost a decade, it wasn’t until I needed my money that I realized this isn’t the right bank to be in. You better pray you’re not away from California and need access to your money. There are limits to YOUR money being accessed. That means, it doesn’t matter what you were dreaming to buy or whatever emergency you come up against…. You’re tightly limited and controlled by their “policies”. Move your money now !

This place has no customer service skills! They are always short on tellers and wait in line forever. Tellers are sitting behind the glass looking at you but not moving the line efficiently. Out of all the Golden One I have been in this place is the worse!

This credit union has short lines. The customer service is great. One time I was applying for a student credit card, they told me that they would let me know if I was approved. On the way home not more than two blocks down the street I get a call that I wasn't approved. I enjoyed that they let me know quickly. The only thing is, I just wish it would be open longer hours.
