I moved recently from Sacramento, now settled in Sunnyvale for a new job near tech. This branch is the closest one near me. Finding parking is kind of a challenge around this area. I really wished there were more accessible branches located in South Bay. Regarding the service, usually there's not a long line near closing 4-5pm. I only came to get a cashier's check for an apartment deposit. They got it done in less than 5 minutes.
Location is a huge factor for me, so I am most likely going to transfer to another credit union with branches closer to me.

Extremely frustrating that no one has updated the branch hours online. Online it says this branch is open until 5pm. When I arrived everything was closed and the sign on the door says they close at 4pm

Yup is really true they look too tired when is no customers and didn’t even have a customer maniac smile, also they don’t have no more gifts like before at the entrance. Also looks like they are not getting paid because they are very lazy!!!

Do NOT bank here. They literally stole my money. I opened a new account, direct deposited my paycheck and they proceeded to lock my account and all the funds. I went to the branch, showed them my valid drivers license and passport (and reminded them it was direct deposit from my employer) and they said they need my social security card and proof of residency (a bill for the place in my name). An hour later I brought in my social security card, my car registration, a title to a boat, my rental lease and a bill for greenwaste, all in my name with the same address. This wasn’t enough for them. They asked that I call in later that day, then they asked that I check in Monday, then they said the documents “need to upload to the cloud”, then they said they didn’t see the address on the lease I provided. It took threats to call the police for stealing my money and another nearly 2 hours of persistently not taking no for an answer before they finally relented and cleared my account. Lol, after all that they suggested I keep my account with them, “I no longer trust this credit union, please give me my money and close my account”.

My usual go‐to for my credit union needs. However, lately, I have been unable to deposit cash into my account, and it will only take checks. That gave me a decently long walk for nothing... oh well, though. Still a stellar little atm

My first experience with Golden One CU unfortunately was not what I expected.
To start off, at an organization level, they seem to not care for Shared Branching members as the 'verification system' they use is nothing but overkill. Why would my ID (license) number has to match if they get updated every few years? Ignoring the fact that I have my SB account #, my name/DOB/address on file all match my ID, I also could've confirmed my SSN. I'm convinced that this credit union only wants to service their own members, and makes it difficult for anyone else to access their account. Perhaps, they should rethink their participation in CO-OP if that's the case.
Then, at the branch level, there was no eye contacts or acknowledgements to any of the mbrs that walked in. The branch did not feel welcoming. Also, it didn't make sense to me as to why the teller would help the mbr that had left the branch and came back and cut in front of the line, rather than helping the next in line.
Overall, it's puzzling how they operate and preach 'putting people first', I should've read the prior reviews and saved my time by visiting another credit union.

Update hours please. Came on a Saturday and paid for parking. Customer service is typically good here.

ATM ate my card without letting me do anything. The screen went blank and then stopped working altogether. Now I have no atm card and I’m not happy
