Their app is so slow and janky. I’ve added my other bank account and information and have tried multiple times to transfer funds from golden 1 to NFCU but no good.

Wow up to 30 days to release funds on a mobile check deposit even for a new account and up to 2 weeks for every other deposit nah im canceling this account and staying with FAST CU they work much faster with their mobile check deposits when deposited the same day and even for new accounts there doesn’t take 30 days. Only came to this bank because I wanted to try a different bank this bank seemed promising at first but 30 days for check to clear is a major let down only way to make it faster is if I can provide copies of check being cleared im like really you think my employer will give me that info im a timely manner to give to golden 1 so they can release my funds wow im really surprised by this one. You would think between banks they have a good way of confirming funds I understand the whole we got to verify funds but 30 days come on now it doesn’t take 30 days to verify funds FAST CU does not take 30 days to verify funds not even on new accounts. My FAST CU account is within the same day if deposited by 3pm but problem for me was i get my check after 3pm I should have just deposited into my FAST CU account and probably would have been fully deposited way before this day even started really disappointed with golden 1. After funds get released in 30 days im canceling and staying with FAST CU wow 30 days to verify funds omg this bank is slower than molasses on a cold day!

Good bank but the wait times are horrible there is always 2 tellers open maybe 3 @ the most!! Just opened up an acct with EECU since they have about 7 tellers!!

The Hanford office is very helpful don't have to wait too long and they ask if there's anything else they could do for me

I love Golden 1 been banking with them since 2013. Its sad that the Hanford Branch has such bad reviews. Golden 1 is a really good bank(credit union) overall. They have great credit card rates compared to others in the market. If you are looking into getting a card check with Golden one first IF you bank with them.

For a combination of reasons, I do not recommend Golden 1 to anyone. First it took three trips and 4.5 hours to get the accounts open. They had to close the first accounts because they made a mistake. Then we had to return to open the new accounts. They were set up wrong and we had to return a third time.

That was in April. In December we tried to use our ATM card for the first time only to find it had been cancelled. Another trip to the branch only to find out when they cancelled the first account, they also cancelled the second accounts ATM cards.

While there I found out it is Golden 1’s policy to cancel any ATM cards used away from your home area. They quoted, “If you go to Pismo and try to use your card without telling us it will be automatically cancelled.”

I asked what the home area comprised of, and they couldn’t tell me. Pismo is only an hour and a half from my house. So, the ATM cards are only good locally unless you call and tell them your every movement outside town? Really! No assistance. No phone call. Just cancel the card.

Just opened my account and deposited cash into my account so our money would be available sooner instead of a check. I was very pleased with Golden1 service. Went in today and tried a wire transfer, but they told me since I just opened account in other Golden1 office not theirs they had to call tomorrow and verify funds. This makes no sense to me, since when is cash not good anymore. How can they not rely on their system for my account balance. This made me very mad and disappointed with Golden1. I made a 30 minute trip to the bank for this. I had called the 1800 customer service number and inquired about wire transfer, they never mentioned this process or asked for my account so they could check if I was eligible for a wire transfer. Not sure if I’ll stick with them. Is there any bank we can count on?
