Ever since I moved to Galesburg Illinois in 2000 it's never taken me longer than 20 minutes to get in and out of the driver's license facility here in town. The workers are always very friendly and efficient. God forbid they should go up to a Chicago suburb or the city itself and wait 4-6 hours.

Went to register the car I bought and to find out if I had All the documents I needed for my real ID. They took care of both today 😁. I'm very happy with my experience

Apsolutely amazing. In and out in a few minutes. The young ladies that waited on us were very nice and helpful. The best service I've ever had at any DMV facility.

Great experience, got people in and got stuff done, so much better than Silvis dmv/I would recommend the 45 min drive. Make sure to make an appointment, have your documents. Mail=bank statement (w/in 90 days) mortgage/lease EOB not insurance( many people tried to do that today) BC/SS card. Drove with Ben, nice professional. Good feedback to my son. Great team at this dmv.

Giving a 2 is being kind at this point. When I first moved to Galesburg I did my due diligence and called ahead of time to ask what documents I needed to get my drivers license since I just moved here from Iowa. I was told oh you only need your Iowa license and Birth certificate. Just kidding, you need 2 proofs of citizenship and a proof of address….mmmkay. Got that resolved…but then today I go with my boyfriend to the dmv to renew his license and we see a sign outside stating we need to make an appointment, mmkay, so we did at 2:20. Boyfriend goes in, remind you to just renew his license, to find out they need proof of address again since we moved. He came out to the car and I was like oh! I have an email from the USPS showing scanned mail to us and they wouldn’t accept it, yet you’ll accept illegal immigrants come in and get a license without any sort of documentation…..yaaaaa make it make sense

I came in yesterday for a drivers test and had an appointment at 3pm I was there a few mins early but was told I needed proof of identification, I stated I don’t have id or drivers license to prove my identity only I had my permit that they gave to me a week ago. I asked if I can leave and come back in less than 10 mins and the two men helping me agreed that is fine just bring a birth certificate or Social Security. Once returning and waiting patiently in line for over 10 minutes, it is now my turn but now it was a women who is the manager and the original man that helped me. The manager stated that I had everything I needed, except proof of where I lived, which I was not told I needed before I left the first time. Now i am a bit frustrated because I am told my permit they gave to me that HAS my current address on that they VERIFIED last week will not work and I don’t have anything in their system that proves my address. Also now I can’t not take my drivers test due to me not being on time for my appointment and she stated they already have 3 people ahead of me waiting to take their drivers test too Which makes no sense why I can’t come back in less than 10mins like I did the first time with my proof of address such as two bills with my name and the same address on my permit since I would be waiting anyways. She asked me how old I was and other questions just to say I need extra things so I can leave, the man who was working there was very kind and understanding but The manager was very Unprofessional from the very beginning was not trying to handled the situation accordingly and I felt very disrespected and talked down to like I did not understand what she was saying to me due to either my age which I am well over 25, or because I am a hispanic women not from here.
I don’t recommend anyone going here.
Unfortunately This is my third time having issues here with only the older female manager and I will have come back to finish my drivers test since I already paid for my license here the first time.
