Nothing ever goes smoothly here they are very confused. Cant ever get ahold of the right department a simple task of paying a car payment over the phone is impossible they forward you to the same recordings or answering machines trash bank!

The 1st experience I had was last year when I wanted to refinance my car. They significantly lowered my interest rate and the application process was relatively easy. I was very pleased with the outcome and opportunity to save some money. Their website however, is not user friendly and could use improvements.

Regardless recently, I decided to trade in my car and without hesitation I contacted my rep at 1st Northern Credit Union in Rockford. Jonathon Lewis had helped me with refinancing before and he patiently listened, answered my questions, & provided guidance on all the steps I needed to follow to get a pre-approval. This, coupled with answering my barrage of questions, was VERY helpful over the next several weeks that I shopped. He really helped me out with understanding the values of what I was shopping for. I do think because of this, I truly did find the best deal.

When dealers asked me to consider the financing they offered, I confidently said, "Nope! I'm good!" They asked me why, I said, "I highly recommend them. They gave me a great rate & personalized service. Plus, I have a pre-approval already.Why go anywhere else?”
