Great teamwork from Tom Puik at J&B which enabled our move to the Netherlands. Though we found the house ourselves, we were unable to view it because we were still in the States. Tom viewed it and sent us a superb video. His advice gave us the confidence to make an offer to rent sight unseen, and he won us the home in a competitive situation. We were well prepared since we had already researched the area and provided J&B all the information they asked for (plus we have experience from our time in the crazy competitive San Francisco Bay Area). We are all happy in our new home.

We had a bit disappointing experience with J&B over the last four months. Communication was poor, with agents changing without notice and a lack of updates on weekends and evenings, causing us to miss timely viewings. Despite an initial agreement that an agent would always attend viewings, we often had to go alone. At the beginning, they sent completely irrelevant apartments from Pararius, and towards the end, it was mostly us sending apartments for them to help with the applications.

Ultimately, the apartment we secured was found through our efforts, not J&B’s. Despite this, we received an invoice without any acknowledgment of the service shortfalls. We paid the bill, but we were left feeling frustrated and disappointed, rather than grateful.

We hope J&B will consider our feedback seriously and improve their services for future clients.

Cannot recommend them enough! !!
My agent was Jennifer and honestly I wouldn't have found my house without her. A lot of great help provided, all the "heavy lifting"is done by them. Jennifer did the research, appointments and gave me a lot of practical advice helping me in my decisions. Explained to me also all documents needed (as I am not dutch )and did followups.

I might have just been very unfortunate compared to others when reading the reviews on Google, but I have received nothing but poor service.

Getting information or responses from the J&B Makelaars team is like pulling teeth. Assistance with setting up GWE was a massive with mess with confusion between the J&B agency as well as the landlords agency.

In the end I had to deal directly with the landlord and get assistance from Dutch colleagues to sort out the mess.

In my honest opinion use, rather use the expat housing network. A friend of mine used them and they had nothing but rave reviews.
