Over the years it's become hard to reach Eric with questions. He is only available by phone when he is in the office for maybe a 2-3 hour window in the morning each day... And because of that, email replies from him are super delayed too. It's confusing on how to reach the agency office assigned to your policy when the agency's owner is rarely in the office and or available by phone/email.

My home was also on an incorrect policy type for a long time which I was not happy to find out.

When renewals come up no one reaches out to you to discuss your policy and questions.

I was customer for one year and had issues from day one. I was quoted a price for a Homeowner's policy and after a few months of paying an Allstate inspector came out to look at my house. For some reason they were overvaluing my house by many thousands and my policy rate increased dramatically. Eric weas able to get my premium down but still way more than the original quoted price. I give him kudos for that. It was a major headache. Then I looked up at my roof one day and noticed wind damage. I put in a claim and it was denied saying there wasn't any damage even though I supplied them pictures of one roof tile missing and others that looked to be raised due to win. They did there own inspection which didn't note the missing tile or anything. I ended up paying a roofing company to fix the bad tile and the few tiles around it. The damage was less then what roofers were telling me but there was damage but not enough to meet my deductible. OK. I moved on and then I get my policy renewal. My price went from roughly 2400 to 6k. With just one denied claim. They were valuing my house at 1.3 million which is not close to the actual value according to 360 and what my realtor friend estimated after doing some research. I called and asked to have this increase explained. I didn't receive a phone call or email. I then found another policy at 3k. I called and emailed that I was cancelling my policy. I never got a call or confirmation email. Not cool. You have to communicate with your customers. I don't blame Eric for the increases but I am not a fan of Allstate and how they will impose huge increased with no explanation. I will fault Eric for not communicating on these matters. I will say one shining star is Danielle who is very nice and extremely helpful and does a lot of the work. I think in the end they didn't want to insure me because of my older roof. They could have just set a higher deductible for the roof and I would have been ok with that. In summary, it should be criminal for a company to raise your rates more than double on a whim with no explanation. There is an insurance commission who just recently approved a 15% increase so how is it that Allstate increased my policy so much more.

Eric Morris has done an excellent job in getting us good value on our home and auto insurance. Their service is prompt, courteous and efficient, and Eric and his assistant are both extremely conscious of our individual needs. I'd highly recommend them to anyone needing insurance in the Western North Carolina area, which they serve.

Let’s face it…insurance products overall are not exciting. Yet they are, or at least should be, a necessity. So when the Eric Morris Allstate Agency kindly returns calls, even answers the phone and delivers what they promised, I’m all in. No need to find another agency. Thank you, Eric Morris and staff. My homeowners insurance policy increased about $250 from year 2023 to year 2024. When I inquired about the rise in price for my yearly policy I was told it was due to all the natural disasters on the coast. Even though I hadn’t made a claim during the entire year I’m having to pay more. This is one reason I left my last home insurance company. Allstate had the same policy for my house last year 2023 almost $300 less than my previous. Now it seems Allstate is following the same practice.

I was an Allstate customer for nearly 13 years and had a great experience when Brian Davis was open in Weaverville. When he closed up shop my troubles started. No matter how many times I called or emailed these guys no one could even have the common decency to pick up the phone or respond in any way. My bill shot up an extra $130 per month and no one could give me a legitimate reason as to why. Not once have I had a crash or a ticket so that ruled that out. I've rarely seen such poor customer service from any company. I went with the number one rated insurance in North Carolina and still saved over $150 per month. Anyone looking for good car insurance beware of these guys. Look elsewhere, you'll be a lot better off.

Eric has serviced our insurance for nearly 10 years, and we have been incredibly happy with he, and his amazing staff! Fortunately we have had very few claims over the years, but each time he has been incredibly helpful in navigating through the nuances of filing and collecting.
