Don's Mobile Glass replaced my windshield in September but last weekend with the rain, water started pouring INTO my truck. It got into the frame, water everywhere. Supposedly they were open but I couldn't get through to anyone. I had to take my truck to another place to have the windshield reinstalled. Someone from Don's finally called me back a few days later, I told them what the problem was and that I wanted them to reimburse me for the second installation and they said someone would call me back and now they're ghosting me.

UPDATE: Chrystyne from DMG saw my review and found me. Apparently procedures were not followed and my complaint was not handled correctly. She apologized for the mistakes in handling my complaint and the incorrect installation and refunded not only the installation, but also the calibration fee which is more than what I was asking for. I was not asked to update my review, but felt it was only fair since they sought me out to make things right.

Got a small chip in my windshield. Made an appointment with Don's mobile glass through my insurance to have it repaired and covered through my insurance. Come appointment time they completely no showed, no call, nothing. I had to go to work for a couple days after this and made the first appointment I could after work. By the time they showed up the small chip had spread across my entire windshield and now needs replacement. Instead of making it right and replacing my windshield since they were the ones that screwed up their scheduling, they offered a measly discount. They had the opportunity to do the right thing and refused. I talked to Mikayla, the assistant manager,on the phone and she couldn’t be less helpful or polite. Bummer. I would shop elsewhere for your glass needs.

We called Dons mobile let them know our RV top right side windshield had popped out while going down the road, asked if they could fix it. (they quoted us $200 more then another place, however they said they could do it the next day, the other place was 3 days later, so as we are traveling we wanted this done as soon as possible we went with Don’s Mobile) the next morning nothing, we waited until the afternoon and called they said they were having a problem getting a part and they would keep us informed. Late afternoon nothing, called back and asked for an update was told that they would still show up that day and that they would get an update and call back 5-10 minutes, again they did not call. This morning I called and told them we are not from here and are traveling and need to be updated as to whether or not that they are going to fix our windshield or do we need to find someone else. Was told that she would call me back 10-15 mins, when I said last person said they would call and didn't, she said she would definitely call. It is now 2 hours later and again no call.

Save yourself the grief and look for someone else that actually follows up with you and lets you know what is going on, not leaving you hanging.

Called another company and its been taken care of within a couple hours.

Took my car to the dealership and they called Don’s mobile to replace my windshield. They didn’t install the windshield correctly so I started hearing a popping sound coming from the windshield. Took it back to the dealership they had Don’s look at car, I don’t know what the did but they said it wasn’t their issue, but before they replaced the windshield there was no popping sounds coming from the windshield. Now I’m left with a car that sounds like the windshield is ready to shatter at any moment. I don’t recommend them to replace any glass period

Just had a very bad experience with Don's Mobile Glass in Manteca. Our original plan was intended to fix our slightly leaning shower glass door for our shower stall. After the readjustment of the glass door, $260, was done by a technician David, we found a 14.5" long crack, about one feet away from the job site, in the shower wall. The crack was quite long and noticeable. Called the manager Christine, and she of course denied the crack was caused by them. An overpowered screwing, nailing, force, pressure and vibration altogether caused the crack to happen somehow unfortunately. But their attitude of dealing with our complaint was nowhere helpful. First is the denial and rejection against our claim, and secondly is the unwillingness to provide us a remedy for a damaged shower wall. Thirdly is no direct response from the company for an apology or a proposal for such damage to be fixed. Satisfaction is NOT GUARANTEED. My property is harmed and damaged. I eat the cost and take the loss that caused by them. The way they are running their business is not acceptable!

This serves a NEW response to the owner's comment received three (3) hours ago. After reviewing the owner's response, we wanted to reiterate the crack in the shower wall is a brand new crack, no previous filling or caulking or whatsoever. I sent some better photos of the crack to the manager Christine on Oct 17, 23. I talked to her right after I sent the new photos, and she said she could see the crack better, and there was no previous filling or caulking in the crack. The company and Christine tried to claim the crack was already there to protect them from any potential liability. But truth is the TRUTH. That is, the shower wall was perfectly fine, no crack or scratch or whatsoever. The crack is brand new after the shower glass door was readjusted, most likely caused by David's over screwing, nailing, pressure and vibration while readjusting the leaning glass door. What Don's Mobile Glass's repetitive refusals and denials just showed they were NOT HONEST business, and they tried to shift the blame to us regardless with no professional attitude. David the technician from Don't Mobile Glass is the only person working in our shower glass area. The shower glass wall was fine with no damage. After the shower door readjustment, a 14.5" long crack has appeared and it is about one feet away from David's job site. Oh well, why such a normal glass business didn't want to face the consequences and kept its business principles right? No satisfaction is GUARANTEED.

Attached were the photos of our shower stall prior to and after David's repair. The shower stall wall was fine, no lines or cracks or whatsoever prior to the glass door readjustment. After the door was readjusted by David, a technician from Don's Mobile in Manteca, a 14.5" long crack appeared. Until today we still haven't received any remedy from Don's Mobile Manteca for their wrongdoing. This is the business you CAN'T trust and reply on.

I called the staff the same day my windshield got a a big crack and they set an in-shop appointment for 2 days out for windshield and calibration, while other places only had availability 2 weeks out. They also contacted and connected me with AAA on the same phone call to open a claim so I just had to pay my deductible. I dropped my car off the day of the appt. at 8 am and it was ready by 10 am. The staff are nice, welcoming, and make the process super simple.

They got me in yesterday on short notice which I really appreciate. However, thus morning had water inside my truck from the rain....called the after hours line and was told probably nothing they could do until Monday....but then the Modesto manager called me back and told me to meet him at the shop in Modesto and fixed it. Not how I wanted to spend my Saturday afternoon but probably not how he wanted to spend his either. Appreciate the effort to make it right before my Seattle trip on Monday morning!

First time using Don's Mobile Glass. Was going to use Safelite but had heard bad things from a family member. Decided to give Don's a call since I had seen their trucks around, and knew they had been in business since I was younger. Made an appointment for the following day and ended up missing it due to a work situation. Called back and they made me an appointment for the very next day! Showed up and the repair technician (Charles I think) was super friendly and took care of the bigger chip and all the smaller chips in my windshield. The whole process took less than an hour and was super affordable! Make sure you get in BEFORE the chip gets bigger than a QUARTER so they can do the repair and not have to replace your windshield.

Second time going to Don's.
I had a much bigger compound crack this time. After my first experience at Don's I knew that I would go there first to see if they could repair it. I was worried this was going to be a lot more expensive than the first crack they fixed. I set up an appointment and showed up first thing in the morning. They had me in and out in 30 minutes and did a wonderful job! Also the repair only cost me $60. Phew, dodged an expensive bullet by going to Don's! Thanks again crew!
