I have experienced Darren and Kimberly's assistance in both purchase and selling phases. Both experiences were awesome. Let me start with the purchase experience. I contacted Darren after my close friend highly recommended his services. Being a first time home buyer, Darren was so patient and helpful in explaining and even suggesting if a home is worth the repairs, does it have a good skeleton, is it a good buy. Most importantly the decision was always mine. Due to a chance, my first home purchase came through another friend, outside of my search with Darren and I ended up buying through the seller's agent. But still, the whole engagement and post-purchase experience with Darren was completely professional and friendly. Due to certain family circumstances, we had to leave the country during COVID, and decided to sell our house. Darren and Kimberly was our first and only choice having experienced their professionalism and thorough follow ups. They helped us orchestrate the sale while we were completely remote during the whole process. Since we had to leave in a hurry, the sale required them help us out with many many things - including help with getting things moved out / sold, figuring out the documents needed to grant privileges to our local friend to complete the sale on our behalf etc. The project was executed with great supervision and focus on time while keeping us right in the middle of things in terms of communication.

Once again Darren and Kimberly helped us on buying our second home!!! It was purchased during the peak season of the market last year and we were prepared for a war :). However, the process was not bad at all because of the help from Darren. We even managed to put contingency in the offer of our dream home.

When looking for a realtor to buy our dream home, our criteria was someone with the dedication, experience, and knowledge to submit a winning offer. Darren wasn't on our radar, since he wasn't spamming us with postcards and flyers like other shady "car salesman"-type realtors. We chose him simply because he was the listing agent for our dream home, and we wanted the "dual agent" advantage. While this might have been foolish, we carefully read everything, and negotiated everything we could think of. A less honest agent would have taken advantage of us, but we felt Darren represented both parties fairly.

What completely surprised us was Darren's followup after our purchase. While the sale was "as-is", he patiently took reports of any needed repairs, and made those free-of-charge -- not because he promised to or was under any obligation, but because he wanted a happy customer. Even three months after our purchase, he's still paying for certain repairs of "pre-existing conditions". Amazing!

We were so impressed with Darren's performance, we later hired him to sell our condo. We were afraid Darren might not give his full attention to a relatively-inexpensive condo sale, but he exceeded our expectations by miles. Darren put his former general contractor experience to good use, not only coordinating new paint, flooring, cleaning, etc., but helping with the remodeling labor when the schedule got tight. The results were so stunning and perfect, we've been staring at the professional photos many times even after the sale, amazed at how beautiful our shabby little condo had become. Photos of other homes on the market looked ridiculous and amateurish by comparison. Darren was always available by phone or text message, and patiently answered our endless questions.

Darren's strengths are his professionalism, honesty, integrity, and communication skills. We accepted an offer far above asking price, breaking the record for our complex. We sold a home to be proud of, and made another couple's dream come true.

Also worth mentioning is Darren's secret weapon, his wife Kimberly, also a realtor with Keller-Williams. Her cheerfulness and helpfulness truly made both transactions a pleasure. We're looking forward to working with Darren and Kimberly again someday, next time we move!

We met Darren through a friend's referral. Working with Darren and his wife/assistant Kimberley exceeded any of our expectations and we really can't say enough good things about them. Darren is knowledgeable, approachable, personable, endlessly patient, responsive, and incredibly generous with his time. Unlike some experienced realtors, Darren is a modest AND experienced realtor and is completely open to hearing your thoughts.

We are specifically looking at one hot area with unimaginable competitiveness. Darren has been providing us deep analysis on the market and excellent guidance. He helped us make a competitive offer on our first house which was bid by some all cash offers. We won the offer with down and ALL contingencies! He set a crystal clear timeline for us after offer was accepted, including deadlines for down payment, inspection, report follow-up, appraisal, loan, escrow sign date, etc. The timeline was updated on a timely base, which was extremely helpful for buyers. Particular high points were his close following up with seller and seller agent regarding some post rent back issues and coordination with escrow. It was a crazy ride. But Darren steered the wheel with his knowledge and led us to our destination.

We moved into our new home last month. That’s not the end of the story. We kept bugging him regarding all sorts of remodel questions. He is still patient, responsive, and ready to give advice. I don’t feel 5 starts sufficiently reflect how happy I am with the service provided by Darren and Kimberley. For each home we are interested, Darren performed detailed comps, personal inspections of similar homes for sale in the neighborhood, and a thorough evaluation of the local market. We’re not sure what Redfin’s market analysis was based on, but we think it was wishes and dreams, or perhaps a random number generator. Redfin’s comps were selected by home size and distance, but that doesn’t necessarily mean anything in the city we are targeting. For the few houses we tried, Darren’s pricing recommendations turned out to be quite accurate. Darren has more patience than the vast majority of people out there. As the first time home buyer, I tested his patience repeatedly with countless phone calls and emails. Darren always took the time to talk to me and listen to what I said. His advice was always based on fact, and I was able to be relaxed and trust him. Our offer got accepted in November. Darren worked closed with seller’s agent, inspectors, loan officers, escrow, etc. to get things move forward to a completely smooth landing. I was able to completely trust him to watch out for our best interests. Everything was handled proactively so we never had to worry. After a few back-and-forth negotiations, Darren guided us to the best final price we never expected! We felt that he was truly watching out for our best interests the whole time, even if we were not there or part of every conversation. In summary, Darren was everything that you expect from a realtor, stellar communication, accurate pricing, a solid marketing plan, thorough review of comparable homes and market activity, and experienced guidance through negotiations, inspection, and closing. I wholeheartedly recommend Darren to anyone who is looking for buying/selling in the market!
