Avoid Allstate, and especially Damaris Lopez, at all costs. Sent my REFUND to collections.

I purchased my first car and needed insurance, so I chose this poor excuse of a branch.

This turned out to be a huge mistake. Within 27 days, they charged me for three months of insurance payments, totaling $1,083.49. Damaris also falsified info by reporting my odometer 7,500 miles below the actual mileage in an attempt to scam further.

My coverage started on March 26, 2024, and I canceled it on May 3, 2024, yet Damaris squeezed an extra day of billing in by cancelling it on May 4th. Instead of receiving a refund for the unused portion promised by Allstate, I was met with negligence and unprofessional behavior.

I repeatedly tried to contact Damaris and her team to cancel my policy, but they ignored my calls. When I finally reached out via email, I was met with hostile and unprofessional responses. Despite providing clear documentation of the refund I was owed, Damaris falsely adjusted the refund amount and then proceeded to refund a portion of the funds to my ex-husband’s account—someone who had no involvement in my policy. She had no legal access to his banking details, and this was a blatant violation of law. I received ZERO in refunds.

After this debacle, Damaris refused to correct the situation, and Allstate failed to help despite acknowledging her theft on a recorded line claiming I’m no longer a customer. Now, my account has been falsely sent to collections and I’m seeking action.

If you value professionalism and transparency, avoid this agent and Allstate altogether. The lack of integrity is astonishing.

I had got my wife full coverage insurance just for herself for our car since she will be driving it. The reason I didnt add myself to thr insurance was because my record had about 3 maybe 4 tickets from years ago. And my whole life (only 27 now i think) insurance agencies always charged more than $800+ (yes. eight hundred dollars) a month only for me full coverage. And this was going on for years. It was never affordable for me. So anyways there was no way I was getting full coverage for myself anytime soon until Ms. Lopez gave me a call and wanted to see if I can get added to the policy. I really never had full coverage for myself and I havent got a ticket in so long and you wouldnt believe this. The difference was only $42 on top of the original insurance policy I got for my wife which was still less than half of what other insurance agencies were quoting for just one of us. I could not believe it. I finally got full coverage for myself thats affordable for me to pay and its thanks to Ms. Damaris Lopez for trying to help. Thank you Ms. Lopez. You made my night. Dont hesitate to give Ms. Lopez office a call.

Agent is incompetent. Does not know what she/he is doing. Unorganized. Does not return calls. The agent needs to find another career path . Will tell you one thing and do another. DO NOT GO HERE!

Unhelpful and rude. I tried getting ahold of her for 2-3 months and was unable to reach her. They randomly doubled my rate and then pulled out $600 out of my bank account with no notice. When I tried following up for a refund they said they would work on it and never got back to me. I don't recommend allstate. It's a rip off and the people who work there don't care for your needs.

I switched my home owners policy to Allstate in 2022. Not only was the price lower the customer service was excellent. I met with Litzy and she was the best. She answered every question I had and followed up with me whenever she said she would.

This cat does not even have an office. The female that answered his phone lied about Allstate's mode of operation. She said offices cannot assist me if I'm not there client even though my policy is with Allstate and don't get me wrong I understand some of the offices are privately owned. But their website says on-site assistance. Thank God for the Inglewood office. They took care of me properly.
